We really need a petition from the whole NE area to remove Borges from the HoF voting committee.

His extensive background as anti-pats, anti-bb, and anti-dynasty is enough to preclude him from representing the area. Getting fired for plagiarism should be the icing on the cake.

This is not nearly well-known enough: The lone NE area voter is a guy who thoroughly documented his hatred for all their success.

There's no world in which it makes sense for him to be our guy in the HoF.

Apparently, he missed by one vote. We’re going to find out who the 11 are eventually so they might as well own it. We already know one from KC and his explanation (which I disagree with, but I respect the honesty)

So to get into the HOF any of the 5 boxed together needed 40 votes.

50 voters each with 3 votes giving a max of 150 votes.

Say BB got the rumoured 39 and say Kraft got lucky with 40.. right there is 79 of the 150 votes spent.

Leaving us with 71 votes spread on the remaining three. Therefore it's only possible for one other to get in with Kraft.

But for me there would need to be a standout other guy in the three that voters went too and therefore pulling more votes than Kraft and BB. Is there one without collusion

71 divided by 3 is 23... 24.. 24 each. Say Kraft got 48... that 71 goes down to 63 for the remaining 3

So it could be that only Kraft is nominated into the HOF.. and could quite easily be none of them.

^This.
That is all the court ruled. The 2nd Circuit Court found in Brady's favor so the league moved the goalposts on appeal. The 2nd Circuit Appeals Court did not determine Brady "cheated" they only ruled under the terms of the collectively bargained CBA the commissioner's actions were allowed; that in the face of the CBA under which he played the rule of 'fundamental fairness' did not apply as it had been bargained away by the NFLPA. Ultimately Brady was suspended because he could be, showing the players once again they are the cattle and the commissioner is the rancher. That is the real reason Big Shield went to the wall, can't have the help gettin' too uppity and expecting anything close to fairness.
That's one argument I saw all the time online that drove me nuts "the court ruled Brady cheated". I had to reframe it so they understood no the courts ruled that the NFL due to the CBA could punish an innocent man. I still have on my phone the picture of the two needles on the gauges and what the wells report did to hide how much longer and bent the one the ref says he used so when deflategate comes up I can explain to haters why its complete and utter ********. Never happened. Ugh 12 years later it still enrages me, to the point my wife made a rule, I'm not allowed to talk deflategate.

Good thing typing wasn't included

I guarantee you that one person that didn't vote for BB, doesn't want you to know. This will be a career ender or them.

Missed it by one vote eh? Well, at least we know Polian was on our side, or I guess we're 95% sure...

You think he was being honest? That was dumbass logic. Every year there will be a bunch of candidates like that, does that mean they get his sympathy vote over more deserving ones? That logic only works if the other candidate is not as clear-cut either.

That was a much worse reason not to vote for him IMO.

What happened is that after humble yet successful beginnings in the AFL, local Boston media treated the Patriots as a punching bag diminishing their plentiful on field success for thirty years, with national media, opponents and fans following suit.

This set up the universe of baseless false cheating allegations immediately after the Tuck Rule was called, which only increased exponentially for six years, and then Dodger Fraudell became commissioner and led his league minions/henchmen to corroborate, confirm and validate in people's minds all of their bull ****. Seven years later he/they outdid themselves stealing a second first round draft pick along with more punishment for bloody murder this time for doing nothing, as opposed to next to nothing.

That's what they get...

... for winning too much

Yes the 1st round pick theft was outrageous along with a 4th round pick, but people don’t mention the rest of the penalty which was IMO not a punishment, but pure vindictiveness.

If the Pats acquired a higher pick in the same round as the forfeited pick, the highest pick in the round was the one forfeited.

That was a constraint of trade to hinder the Pats from improving themselves.

The Pats could trade player X an asset that they already owned, and get that pick that they received confiscated, or not make the trade and only lose the original confiscated pick, while still keeping player X.

In what world does that make sense as a just punishment?

BB made several trades in the 4th round though continually acquiring higher and higher picks, thumbing his nose at Goodell, which Goodell richly deserved.

No. Nothing is 'just'. Zero integrity. Zero fairness. Zero credibility.

Zero. Let's not fool ourselves.

I'm surprised we're able to keep the trophies and still compete, like this coming Sunday.
