2026 Draft: RT

If Parker keeps this up he might not be anyway. But im all for trading that pick for Crosby anyway.
So long as we don't have to give up a 2027 pick too. What about Myles Garrett?

I thought Dunker did pretty well. He had more reps at RT than I was expecting.

Longer arms, too. But I don't think he's athletic enough.

How would you feel about Gennings Dunker (or Fa'alili Fa'amoe) at RG and Max Iheanachor at RT?

Fine. Although Onwenu is our best OL currently so I think they probably keep him for another year. I like the Georgia RG Micah Morris (346lbs) as a future Onwenu replacement. Excellent anchor but needs development as a run blocker but at that size, could be a dominant one.

As for Iheanachor, the issue is getting him. I'm still EDGE first preferably so I'm thinking about RT at 64. I'd be all for trading up for Iheanachor. Other wise I'm looking at Barber at 64 or Bowry/Crownover later. We can afford a developmental guy with Moses starting another year. But yes, Iheanachor would be a preference over those guys provided we could get him along with an edge at 32.

However, if Mesidor and Parker are gone at 32, take Miller/Iheanachor and try and get Young/Moore at 64 or with a trade up.

I know I was BPA and I still wouldn't mind that but more and more I'm EDGE/RT with our first two picks.

This is where we quibble. I firmly agree Mesidor and Parker are worth taking at 31/32, but I would take Freeling (definitely) and (probably) Iheanachor if available:

- I like the potential EDGE options at 63/64 (Lawrence, Young, Moore) better than the OT options
- While I am generally a defense first guy, "protect the Drake" is my one exception, and having bookend tackles locked down for a decade or more is tough to pass up
- Mesidor will be 25, has only 1 year of dominant production, and an injury history
- Parker has production and motor questions
- Freeling and Iheanachor have elite frames, are younger, have an upward trajectory and more chance to develop to the next level
- Parker and Mesidor may be closer to their ceiling

These are quibbles, and I could easily argue it the other way. But I think - and it would kill me - that I would reluctantly favor the OTs. I expect many would go the other way.

Hoping FA and re-signings make this one a tad easier.

I'm certainly not opposed to going RT at 32. I'm not as high on Freeling as you - excellent pass blocker but just not a dominant run blocker. But as you say, mere quibbles.

I've dismissed Caleb Lomu before now because

a) LT experience only
b) I suspect he's going to be under 300lbs
c) Poor run blocking grade relatively

But maybe I shouldn't have. He looks like he falls into the late first/early second conversation and should be in the conversation for our first pick. Maybe not at the top of the list, but certainly top 4 or 5.

Exactly where I stand: (1) IF he falls, (2) NOT at the top of the list, but (3) IN the conversation.

1. Freeling
2. Iheanachor
3. Lomu
4. Miller
