JETS SUCK 2025 EDITION (OFFICIAL): DIVINE INTERVENTION DENIED

Jete fans have checked out of the NFL weeks and weeks ago. I would say they are taking time off to forget the past and pretend this season didn't happen so they can put on the rose colored glasses next season, but to be honest they really can't put together any scenario where they will be good next season. Lots of draft choices but not the #1 overall in a one-QB draft. Owner too cheap to fire what is clearly a guy in over his head. No plausible FA that can come in at QB. Basically they get to eat yet another **** sandwich next season.
Yeah i can see your point to a certain extent, but i'm sure its crossing their minds that once again their chef rival has by past them. They can't avoid see whos playing in the super bowl, it will sink in. It will be interesting to see how many jete faithful show up next year. But i guess, They'll just have to.....

No coach or coordinator worth his salt will join AG's staff either - with him on the hotseat. Plus the stank, of course...

Just after reading your post, I read:

The coach is circling the toilet bowl so no coaching talent will want to be on his staff so what do they do? Fire six coaches!

SOFJ!!!

Meanwhile, over at Gang Green Forum:

At least you can't say they all lack self-awareness...

Great idea, but Woody will not allow a tear-it-down-to-the-studs rebuild. He thinks they are one or two players away. He kept Glenn which says all that needs to be said. They are going to wallow in mediocrity again next season, then fire Glenn, then fire the GM a year later, rinse, repeat. SOFJ.

Wait, what, more sanity from a Jete forum? They see how Seattle is a better match-up for us than the Rams would have been, and that all the pressure is on Darn-It because all the Seattle fans expect a win, yet Sam has a history of choking in big games?

These Jete fans are more optimistic about our chances than half the posters here!

They also go on to praise Vrabel both as a player and a coach.

I think I'm seeing ghosts!

How the hell fo you go a season without a pick, fire 6 coaches and not include the DB coach or the DC. That’s one of the most Jete things ever unless they are trying to fail

Those are the recent firings. They fired the DC during the season. Interim DC was the DB coach Chris Harris, who has had 2 interviews for the full time position so far.

Not 100% fully aware though. “Jets_fan” talks about how the Pats and Darnold turned it around so quickly, and follows up by suggesting tanking to 0-17, getting a new QB and offensive minded head coach. But the head coach of the two teams he just praised were defensive guys, and Seattle used an old failed QB not a new one to get them there. And then he suggests a new GM, as if Woody and his sons still wouldn’t be dictating moves.

No, the best thing he can do is burn all his Jets gear, delete his account, become a Giants fan and pretend this phase of his life never happened.

As I was reading that report I was wondering how many of those coaches jumped ship of their own volition? Did they really get fired or is the team spinning it that way to keep it from looking bad?

What would be worse for Jets fans; The Patriots winning another Super Bowl or Darnold winning a Super Bowl?

I was leaning towards the Patriots winning, but then I realized the real answer was within the question itself. The worst thing is that they’re Jets fans.
I think the next two weeks, asking that question and not knowing the answer, will be the worst possible for those fans, because they have to think about both possibilities as realistic. Once the game is over and they know which one of those realities we are living in they can forget the other one and not think about it. So, now, this very moment, is worse for Jets fans. Eternally.

Someone upthread (I think) posited that Woody is cratering the team on purpose so he can move it to London with no fan uproar... As wacky as this sounds it is emerging as the only logical reason the Jete keep inventing new ways to fail... School children could manage the team better than that trust fund dope...

Woody reportedly is despised in the U.K. from his insultingly scandalous stint as U.S. ambassador. I highly doubt the fine folks in Britain would tolerate his return, much less the permanent presence of Jete stank. But this is a matter that @Mike the Brit should weigh in on.

That “sane” Jets fan was actually off about something. We aren’t arch-rivals. This hasn’t even been a rivalry. It’s one sided

I think the Jest fans are, after nearly 60 years of ineptitude, finally at the acceptance stage of grief.

Other teams, including the Billdos, are firmly in the denial stage; "it's the refs", "it's McD", "the Pats are so lucky", etc etc etc. By the time my grandchildren are old enough to enjoy the season tickets with their families, they'll come around.

In today’s Boston Globe…

Could it be a certain someone beyond us mortals was responsible for this?

“Following Sunday’s big win for the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship, the Empire State Building, New York City’s crown jewel, lit up in red, white, and blue to celebrate the team. Not surprisingly, it sent some New York fans into an uproar.”

Well we know they don't have green and white lights, they haven't needed them since 1969.
