Finally sat through a clip of the whole interview, which was painful. I think what’s he’s trying to say is “I made a dumb emotional decision, here’s why I was emotional.”

Like listening to my kids.

I would like to disagree. This is still a very desirable coaching opportunity. Allen is the top QB in the league. He should get his team to the playoffs for the next 5-years. You could be the coach that gets buffalo back to the Super Bowl and win it. That would be amazing.

Right... They were what, the #6 seed? Only six #6 seeds in NFL history have ever reached the AFC/NFC Championship game, and only two of those six have gone on to make the Super Bowl (2005 Steelers and 2010 Packers). The math certainly was not in their favor. But, I doubt Pegula has any idea about that.

This is a team that lost to the Dolphins and Falcons this season.

They are who we thought they were.

IMO it was a good idea to try something different.

BUT it seems they did it for the wrong reason, the owner over-reacting to a crying QB.

It also seems that they don't have a Plan B, otherwise there would be a clear favorite on who gets the job next.

Here's one list of who they are interviewing:

Interviews/requests: Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady; Washington Commanders run game coordinator Anthony Lynn; former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll; Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo; Jaguars offensive coordinator Grant Udinski; Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver

This feels like the approach is to throw **** against the wall and see what sticks.

seems to be the week for bizarre press conferences and speeches

Anthony Lynn? Lou Anarumo? Anthony Weaver? Grant Udinski? Those are not serious candidates.

It looks like the only "real" candidates are Daboll and Joe Brady, and neither of them are going to transform the team. Both of them would be "more of the same" and both would just be appeasing what Josh Allen wants. The QB would be in charge of the team. They'll be a dumpster fire.

Delicious…I wonder if the pain the fans are feeling is the same as when they went to the sb and lost it….4 times….in a row. I’m starting to wonder if they’re jinxed/hexxed/bad juju’d/ as terrible as the jete. If not, they’re approaching that level.

They have overplayed their hands. Soon as they saw the Chiefs miss the playoffs they thought it'd be a Super Bowl cake walk. Mahomes and Brady have skewed peoples' minds as to how hard it is to actually win a Super Bowl. If Allen wins 2 in a 15 year career that'll be a great success for him. Seems like Buffalo is expecting 3 or 4 or bust

Right. Aaron Rodgers has 1 single ring. Peyton Manning had 2, and one of those was far more on the back of his defense than anything he did.

List of QBs with rings and how many they have in the last 25 years:
Tom Brady - 7
Patrick Mahomes - 3
Peyton Manning - 2
Eli Manning - 2
Ben Roethlisberger - 2
Jalen Hurts - 1
Matthew Stafford - 1
Nick Foles - 1
Russell Wilson - 1
Joe Flacco - 1
Drew Brees - 1
Aaron Rodgers - 1
Brad Johnson - 1
Trent Dilfer - 1

We need to be wary of that too. With Nix breaking his ankle the odd makers swung the odds our way, but it's still a road game played at mile-high elevation against a strong defense in a place we don't have a great track record at. Of course that means winning the game would be that much sweeter, but we can't count the chickens before they hatch.

I think the gif I found was on the first page of my "bills mafia fail gif" Google search, so hopefully that means this guy survived.

His IQ likely dropped a few points to be on par with a banana though.
No he suffered no brain damage..because that would require having a brain

This was bad. Wow. I feel for Coleman.

Keon Coleman hasn't been good or worth his draft status, but why is he being made into this huge scapegoat here? People act like he sunk the franchise lol

yeah, a dumpster fire getting into the playoffs for the last 8 years, tops in the division for 5 years and competing evenly with us now,
===========
If Brady is their coach and the GM does even OK in free agency and the draft, BUF will continue to be competitive.
==========
And, yes, I do think that we are favorites to win the division in 2026. However, we don't need 3 dumpster fires in the division to win.

I'm just glad someone noticed
I’ve been enjoying. Some of them have been really great, astute observations in good haiku form. Thanks for those artful posts.

Allen's contract takes up around 20% of the Bills cap. No pass for him!
His cap hit in 2025 was 11th in the league. It will be 7th in 2026 at 17% - not "around 20%". His contract had nothing to do with the Bills inability to draft within the last 5 years. Their problems have been going on long before he signed his deal. Giving them a "home town discount" wouldn't have done anything other than putting more money in the Owner's pocket.

Were Allen is at fault is signing the contract to begin with. Now he's stuck.
