It sounds like AJ Brown and Siriani just didn’t seem to mesh this year. I’m thinking he gets traded this offseason.

The ONLY way I would want him on the team is if he only cost a 3rd round pick when it comes to a trade. I have so much faith in Vrabel, that I think he could turn Brown’s attitude around to being a good teammate. He’s the ONLY coach I think can do it, especially since he coached him in Tennessee, and was against Tennessee trading him to Philly.

What are your thoughts ? Me personally I’d be a bit nervous, but I’d be ok with getting him for a 3rd round pick because of Vrabel.

Yes, I'd take him but not for a prime pick.

He's getting up there in years. 29 yrs old next year, his 8th season, he has gained 8,000 yards. This is not a player you give up a 1st rounder for. I'd give a second, but then there's also the salary.

I agree with taking a chance if it was only a 3rd rounder
The Salary is a major concern
Not a game breaker. Just 2 concerns here to make a trade for him

There was a choice missing, so I really dunno what to vote.

While I think the talent would help, he seems like a malcontent. Sometimes it crashes (Antonio), sometimes it works (Diggs). I’d rather go in another direction, but there’s a part of me that wants to say yes.

I think with the Patriots, Brown can return to being a 1,400 yard WR again. He is being wasted in Philly.

I think he will only command a second rounder. And I see the situation much like Randy Moss. Moss underperformed with Raiders and was toxic. And he was 29 at the time too. He came to the Patriots and had a record breaking season. Sure Brown ain't Moss and Maye ain't Brady, but Maye is a better deep ball passer than Brady and Brown is a great deep threat.

I think Brown would be a model citizen here (at least for a few years). He would be happy that McDaniels would put him in the best position to succeed. He would be happy that he has an accurate deep ball passing QB on the verge of being elite. He will be happy playing for Vrabel who he has a great relationship with. And he would be happy playing for his favorite team.

I think the Pats will trade for him. But then again, Brown doesn't have a no trade clause. So he doesn't have control of where he goes if the Eagles decide they don't like the Patriots' offer. So there is always a chance that Buffalo, San Diego, or another team outbid the Pats.

I think he’s a game breaker, 4 straight seasons of over 1000 yards. And he averaged 17.0, 13.7, 16.1 and 12.9 per catch a year respectively. The 17.0 and 16.1 seasons show that he can be a game breaker. For his career he’s averaged 15.3 yards per catch a season. Also, 6 of his 7 seasons were over 1000 yards. He’ll be 29 when next season starts.

I’d still be nervous to trade anything more than a 3rd round pick for him. But I feel he’s still a REALLY good receiver. I’m torn.

Yes, i wouldn’t prioritize it but if we can get him for a future second and some change i wouldn’t mind it as we’ll be all in from here imo.

Between draft and fa i think we can fill edge, lb, interior ol and shore up depth where its needed. This and a trade for brown would make us favorites next year imo.

Assuming Vrabel wants him, I'd be on board since he knows Brown well. He's a #1 guy and younger than Diggs.
This is what you do, you get the superstar WR with the QB on the first contract. Take advantage of that window.

All that said I doubt the Eagles trade him.

I get it, but Ray Lewis threatened me with harm if I put him in the poll.

He is in a horrible situation in Philly. They are really tanking his prime years. I don't condone some of his actions, but they are wasting him.

Besides, he would be happy here playing for Vrabel and for his favorite team. He said he literally went into a closet and cried when the Patriots didn't draft him.

Here come the dislikes in 3..2…1…..

IIRC that's the edge of the slippery slope that eventually led to the last couple of threads becoming urination contests that got them closed and half the posts in them deleted. Wonder how long this one will last...

I would prefer we invest big dollars in other areas (hello LB, Edge and IOL), but I wouldn't hate it.
Wouldn't give up more than a 3rd.
Anything more is too much.

The QB that is throwing him the ball isn't a very good passer. Vrabel has ties with him and got a lot out of him. The contract and the compensation are the only hurdles. With that said, I'm on the fence and would rather have them find someone via the draft and invest their money in others areas (Edge if available and OL.)

He had some bad drops yesterday. I'm kinda on the fence...

He didn’t drop a ball all season in 2024. This season, he had one drop in the regular season. I am not worried about his hands.

Here is the number breakdown from Spotrac for if the Eagles traded Brown by the trade deadline. The 2026 numbers and beyond still apply. They are not bad for a legitimate #1 WR.

I’d take him in a heart beat. He’s got the uncanny ability to take a short slant to the house at any given time. He is horrendously misused in Philly vs how they used him in Tennessee.

I love Williams and Boutte, but if the price is right, I’d entertain discussions for sure.
