The Falcons job is the most overrated, their roster is good but they have no quarterback all that means is you're trapped in 7-10 wins with no way of getting a real quarterback.

You're the Panthers, Bucs and every other NFC South team who's ceiling is winning a Wildcard game.

These jobs are QB, QB, QB, QB, you either have one or a way of getting one or your job blows.

All the new coaches who succeeded this year with the Pats, Jags and Bears inherited QBs under 26 picked in the top 5 of the draft.

I beg to differ AJ: they have the pieces on Field Players make HC's too.
They have one of the worst defenses in the league and no skill position players on offense, and a bad OL. Other than that, turnkey operation.

FWIW Schefter is reporting that they were just deliberating on this and did not talk to Harbaugh or anyone else.

Don't believe him. It's a bad look to call a coaching candidate when you have a guy under contract. I can see Shefty carrying the water here to make the team and league look better.

The Giants need a whole lot more than just a head coach.

Yes. They are really up against the cap because their GM stinks (and it's a sign of stupid ownership to fire the coach without firing the GM -- boy, did the Patriots get lucky!)

Was ^ the Best WR from the 2024 Draft: J Dart is for real and Cam Skattebo was playing Great before his injury.

They’ve been doing the same thing for 10 years and have been just as bad as the jets.

BB has lost his marbles. I would t trust a billion dollar franchise with a 70+ year old who is struggling in college football let alone have decision a be guided by a 25 year old.
Yeah but it isn’t the Pats so I don’t care.

Slim pickings for HC this year and I’d like to see BB get the all-time wins record.

Now do you really think BB will get players and team buy in the same way he got with pats after his recent off field exploits. I seriously doubt that . Most of these folks started playing football after the pats lost relevancy so bills aura might be toast.

If BB is willing to be a lame duck coach and someone is willing to pay NC 20 million dollars for services of belichick , it might work . But at this point, bill is coasting and taking the tar heels for a ride.

Dart has certainly not proven he is a good QB. Nabors is coming back off a major injury. Scateboo was ok and he had a severe injury.
This is much less talent than contending teams have.

They all should be ready to go next season. I mean look at Diggs its' not the end of the world.

Arizona and Tennessee are knocking on Deaths' door saying let us in...let us in.

I agree on Arizona, which has a Tua-like problem in Murray. Tennessee, though is a mixed bag. Terrible ownership, but a young QB with potential and oodles of cap space.

My not-too-considered take, from best to worst:

1. Raiders. Cap space and your choice of rookie QBs, build the culture from the ground up.

2. Ravens. QB in place, but possibly unreasonable expectations for immediate success.

3. Titans. This is a gamble given the management situation, but I think I’d take my chances with Ward and all that cap space.

4. Giants. But how do they have so little free cash with a rookie QB?

5. Falcons. Decent organization and weak division, but Penix isn’t the answer and they have no first round draft pick.

6. Cardinals. Murray’s contract and a killer division.

7. Dolphins. Hello cap hell, my old friend.

8. Browns. Those poor fans.

Lamar has a contract whose terms are set by collective bargaining, Jim doesn't.

They're stuck with Lamar, just like MIA is stuck with Tua, and like CLE is super-stuck with Watson.

That's just where we're at.

There have been multiple discussions showing that these neither Miami nor Baltimore are "stuck" with their respective QBs. Cleveland is the only one STUCK because of Watson's ridiculous contract. Even then, they can cut Watson this year as a June 1st Designation. It doesn't save them money this year, but it certainly get's an anchor from around their necks.

Arizona can cut Murray as a June 1st designation and save themselves 5.7M in cap space. The Problem is that they'll be paying Murray 36.8M in Salary. Just like the Browns would be paying Watson $46M in salary with a June 1st Designation.

Add McDaniel to that mix now

The Dolphins have the extra selling point of Tua and his contract so good luck with that FinFans

Then they have to prove they are good.
The defense stinks. The OL stinks.
All you have is the hope that the guys they drafted turn into good players and their track record at that isn’t very good.
You are calling it a good job because of an unproven QB and a 4th round RB who couldn’t make it through a year. Neither were even league average

None of those teams have QB settled. Jackson maybe but can he be counted on to not miss half the season? I’ll never understand how ward went number 1 ( never understood how Murray did either). Darts a long shot and unlikely to make it.

Those guys I mention will be all Good: I liked all three in their respective Drafts. Their GM will have some players to work with: Far cry from that Mayo Patriots Team We witnessed over a year ago.
