This, remember when Belichick got fired, and his agent put out all the teams that were interested in him in the media right afterward.

He got 1 (one) interview, and Arthur Blank decided he'd rather run it back with Raheem Morris, Terry Fontenot and Rick McKay (and the results were completely predictable)

An owner's preference is always going to be a good coach, who got a raw deal in his prime (this cycle, a Stefanski), or a young coordinator they don't have to really pay for a while.

I could see Mark Davis rolling the dice on him, but he's now paying a 4th head coach, and they just fired Pete Carroll. Maybe Stephen Ross fires McDaniel for him? Does Harbaugh turn the Dolphins around? I dunno. If Buffalo's one-and-done, maybe he goes there?

Wherever he ends up (and it's going to be a head-scratching situation he ends up in), just temper your expectations.

My only caveat to this line of thinking if he were going to get fired (and probably won't now) is Tomlin, and he's like 5 or 6 years younger than Harbaugh.

(I also don't think either of them are great coaches - great regular season coaches, yes)

Jim has turned around and stabilized Multiple programs and franchises, and was 59 when he was hired.

John inherited Brian Billick's guys, Ozzie Newsome, and one of the most stable franchises in the NFL.

The Patriots, Bears and last year's Redskins Commanders not withstanding, it's usually more than 1-2 years to turn it around. Let's say it's 3-5 to really set it in stone. That makes him 68. Are you thinking you'd get more than that from him? Mind you, I am all in on this guy, but he's a win right eff'n now, not after he gets rid of Tua's ****ty contract or waits for the Watson deal to go away while being married to Sanders. Got to Arizona with a guy who won't watch film? My point is he needs to pick his spot carefully. He won't be coaching in 10 years.

IMO, it's Giants with Nabors and Dart or Raiders with the #1 pick.

I would guess Stefanski's the top choice of both.

Which was my overarching point. In Tennessee, Cleveland and Arizona the corner offices occupants represent significantly bigger challenges than the rosters

I actually think 1-2 years are hue most turnarounds happen. You left Houston off the list.
Let me clarify. Almost every staff either turns it around or proves they can’t in the first 2 years. Sone teams just go through a lot of iterations before they get it right.
Can you think if as many teams that too 3,4,5 years under the same staff and gradually improved as we just named who did it all at once?
