shoulda ask him, “will Chism be able to fill Hollins shoes…oh wait”
Good one!

But isn’t that a question better directed to Rex Ryan?

Yeah, they’ll have plenty of speed with Wright & Wilson (If he even sees the field). Gordon is the power back, but he has an ankle injury & hasn’t really done anything all year. 14-3…
I think the Pats coaching staff wants Maye to get MVP (they will never admit it) so it might be Maye for 5 passing TDs again this week.

No Tyreek, no Waddle, no Achane, no Waller, no Fitzpatrick, and no Tua. Hard to see how it will be close.
If Achane is out, I agree.

If Achane plays, I could see MIA staying in for a half.

Yep. McVay will surely do the same with Stafford. IMWT

People said Nix wouldn't be good
Many did.

And many thought that Nix was the QB most ready to start and worthy of a top 10 pick. I'm one of those but didn't think him worthy of a top 3 pick, especially since we were 1-3 years away even with a top QB.

Of course he was the most ready, he played 19 college seasons

If the coaching staff is looking at player milestones there are a couple of others in play as well.

IIRC Diggs is very close to having a thousand yards for the season. Not sure but think I also heard his next incentive milestone may be within reach, although I’m not sure what it’s for.

I saw that Henderson needs something like 140 yards for him to make a thousand too. And of course every time he breaks a 50+ yard TD run he’s adding to his entry in the record books.

Don’t know if any other players have incentive milestones within reach, but if so I hope they’re given plenty of opportunities to reach them.

Yes, and a first round contract is for 5 years. After that, you pay the market. You cannot draft a 10 year starter.

The value over 5 years is yet to be seen, but looking forward from the day of the draft, Nix was a tremendous value and bargain where he was picked.

Yes, and it will be interesting to see how he follows up on his performance in the Atlanta game.

Thought experiment: Let's just say, arbitrarily, that in 2027 the Patriots and Maye agree on an extension at 5 years, $60M a year. If you were the Broncos, how much would you offer Nix?

There's obviously a sweet spot here from the perspective of "use motion too much and defenses can exploit the gap it leaves (as it does)" versus "use it too little and allow the defense to set itself in motion toward the play to disrupt its timing". I am guessing that McDaniels likely uses certain sets to show a "trend" for the defense to adapt to then when that look comes again use the motion to "misdirect" the defense toward that motion side. But that's just a guess.

When I checked a couple weeks ago Nix was top 7 in most QB stats.
Even if you want to credit that to his coaching, he's getting paid.
He will make north of $50 for sure, assuming he plays as he has.

It's crazy how Las Vegas - Tennessee - The NY Giants and Cleveland are in the Top 5 again. Talk about trying to win Draft day. Sucks for Teams looking for a QB the class is garbage after Mendoza.
I have to imagine the Raiders are going to not field any defense at all to keep that first pick.

I feel like that stat's less about the individual back, and more about ball control, and whether your team has a lead.
It's a lot easier to run if you've had the ball for 30 minutes going into the 4th.

And easier to run if your team is down and the opposition is playing to prevent big pass plays.
I would suspect Cleveland, the Jets and Indy have all trailed in the 4th quarter a lot, and opposing Ds are more focused on pass defense.
Pretty ambiguous stat really.

Running the ball is effort, hand to hand combat, and physically beating or being beat.
When you are losing and the other team is running the ball to kill the clock it’s not hard to see how the defense puts up less of a fight

Chaisson is a .5 sack away from 500K
It sucks that Hollins is hurt because he is 4 catches away from 400K
HH is 5 catches away from 250K
Diggs is 8 catches away from 500K and 30 yards away from 500K
