It used to be that AFC away games were on CBS, NFC away games were on FOX. The current system is designed to help "equalize" the slates on the two networks so one network doesn't get all the "good" games.

Yeah, that's that rationale I heard. Still, I liked the predictability. But it's not like the NFL is the only one doing things that way.

My thought has always been that for maybe somewhere between 100-200 dollars a season, offer a team subscription package. You get all your favorite team's preseason/regular season/postseason games, no matter where you are in the world. I think/hope that would be a moneymaker for the NFL. *and yes, I know this is a pipe dream*

Spillane returned. Doubt he plays sunday but Great sign for round 1

At Vrabel’s presser, he did confirm that the 3 missing guys will be out (Landry, Wilson, and Tonga) and also stated Spillane will be out too, with Westover as questionable. From there, he said both Milton Williams and Will Campbell could be activated for Sunday based on how they responded today.

Edit - he also closed it out saying his New Year’s resolution is to just win as many games as possible.

No Spillane is a problem - but probably no Achane makes it less of a problem.

For those dissing on Westover, he had a key block on Stevenson's rushing touchdown against the Jets. I haven't been a huge fan, but he looked good on that play, which has been a problem area for the Pats.

I think that there have been and are several RB/FB's that have been available in addition to those on Practice Squads. Yet, Westover plays a lot. An inexpensive FB is a major asset. Sure, we'll being in camp competition (including Lampe), but I suspect that Vrabel is OK with Westover's performance.

Well even a Blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.

Shefter, reported on the Macafee show that he doubts either Achane or Waddle would play Sunday. So with very few exceptions, Sunday will be our scrubs against their scrubs, at least in the 2nd half

Who wins will simply about "want to" more than anything else. Believe me, Miami WILL play hard. It is going to be a lot of guys best chance to put some good play on tape and open some eyes. So our guys AND theirs are going to be motivated.

We have the advantage of getting Maye Williams and Campbell 20-30 snaps for our side
If the Jaguars win, there’s no reason to not try and win the game. Still a big advantage to getting that 2 seed over 3.

Ideally we can rest starters late, but I wouldn’t go too crazy.

So if the Pats lose then it's the 3rd seed?
So Barfalo?

If Pats lose and Jax wins, Pats are 3 seed. Really can't see that happening with no Achane.
LA is ahead of Buff now, and will stay that way if they have a common result or if LA wins period.
One would suspect an LA team without Herbert is not beating Denver (stranger things have happened in final week games between divisional rivals).
So really it will come down to what Buff wants to do.
Play to win, move up to the 6th seed and go to Jax. Or lay an egg on purpose and stay at #7 and come to Gillette.

JAX becomes the #1 seed if DEN loses and NE loses
JAX becomes the #2 seed with a DEN loss OR with a NE loss
JAX becomes the #3 seed with a DEN win and a NE win
=========
I ignore the possibility that JAX loses to TEN. They would then be 4, 5, 6 or 7.

True, except all those scenarios require JAX to win. If they lose, they’re the 3 seed, except if the Texans also win then JAX becomes a wild card team. So they have the most potential seeding options of all the AFC playoff teams.

yes, I just updated my post. I believe that JAX could end up with any of the playoff seeds. I just don't think that there is any chance they will lose to TEN.

Realistically we will be 2, and Jax 3.
The question is who will the two of us play between LA and Buff.
