It's crazy how Las Vegas - Tennessee - The NY Giants and Cleveland are in the Top 5 again. Talk about trying to win Draft day. Sucks for Teams looking for a QB the class is garbage after Mendoza.
If you look at Chicago, Denver, and New England, all fighting to be Conference champs, and Washington last year (and maybe the Jags this year?), the magic potion is easy. Draft a Top 5 QB and get a good coach. Drafting a Top 5 QB is the tough part.

The QBs in 2021 were thought to be a great class. LOL. Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, Justin Fields, Mac Jones. You never know. The Jags added a good coach this year and Lawrence is better.

Most draftniks consider Moore a great QB prospect.
Simpson will end up in the first.
Will he be good...who knows.
People said Nix wouldn't be good and while he's no Drake Maye, put a young QB in the right system with good coaching and decent players around them and they can succeed.

Simpson was crying on the sideline when he was benched in Alabama's playoff loss. Not a good look. Could have been an injury from that big sack.

Moore needs another year in college, and he might just do it. He's not as good of an athlete as the other top QB prospects, so he really needs to refine his pocket game.

Wait until you see Brock Lampe play next TC. Do you remember Sam Gash during the Parcells and Bledsoe years?? Lamp's Blocking is on that level.
The HOPE is that Lampe comes back healthy and is able to compete for a spot and be the Team's FB. The HOPE is that it will force Westover into the #3TE or onto the PS where he can continue to learn and improve. Having him there with Lampe on the 53 would be the ideal situation. However, we all know that the NFL is almost never the "ideal" situation.

I'm not impressed with Westover either. He's made an ok block or two, but on whole adds little value to the run game.

He squats like a duck in his 3 point stance and gets no explosion off the snap.

The best part of playing fullback is getting a running start towards the line of scrimmage and carrying that momentum into the block. The fullback should hit the hole or block point every bit as hard as a blitzing linebacker. Granted sometimes the offensive line structure breaks down, but you need to adjust quickly and with momentum.

Westover has less than 6 months experience playing FB. YOU are expecting him to be at the level of James Develin after Develin finally made the Pats Roster. Which took Develin 2.5 years to do.

You might want to refamiliarize yourself with how Jakob Johnson looked in the backfield. There are several plays where you can see Johnson squatting almost identically to the way that Westover does and not "firing off" to get momentum as you say.

Is Westover the long term solution at FB? No. He's not. He's going to be 27 next summer. But ask yourself WHY Vrabel/McDaniels have kept with him when they could have grabbed Jakob Johnson at several different points during the season, including when Johnson was cut at the end of training camp.

Is it a "bad look" that a 20 something Football player is upset over the fact that he let his team down? It's only a "bad look" if you're pushing ridiculous stereotypes that men shouldn't show their feelings.

There were Pats players on the 2001 team who were crying in joy when the team won the SB.. Wouldn't that be a bad look also?

You aren’t saying Maye, williams, nix, Lawrence and Daniels are the top 5 QBs in the NFL are you?

I was watching the game but had other stuff going on so wasn't paying full attention.
I thought he was hurt, could be wrong.

You're making my point.

I'm surprised that Westover is so polarizing. I have nothing against him and appreciate his efforts, I just don't think he's doing the position justice.

Achane has been really good this year.
I knew he was explosive, but am somewhat surprised just how good of a complete back he has turned into.
Wilson is a major step down, but he's a speed merchant too isn't he?

Picture Achane his rookie year, when he couldn't get on the field (maybe half a step slower). Similar.

(Achane is significantly smaller than Henderson, btw, for all the 'Not an every down back' people in the back)

Yeah, they’ll have plenty of speed with Wright & Wilson (If he even sees the field). Gordon is the power back, but he has an ankle injury & hasn’t really done anything all year. 14-3…

I suspect Westover is replaced by Lampe next year.

Brock Lampe has the right build, He has that bowling ball build.

I forgot just how good Lampke was as an offensive threat. He catches the ball well, has some twitch when he runs, as well as the blocking skill. Westover was a decent fill in, but he needs to be upgraded, and Lample shouldn't be forgotten
