You all see what kind of morons I have to deal with living in Denver? None of them actually know much about football, they just memorize the same weak insults.
Are you joining us for coffee??

Welp, he will be disappointed.
Broncos feel destined for a one and done.

I don't know what will happen.. What I do know is that the Pats have been road warriors and put up 8-0 on the road.. So any team's fans who are discounting them are doing themselves a disservice.

IF the Pats were to face Denver in the AFCCG, then I would expect Vrabel to have the Pats in Denver by the Tuesday before the game. So that the players can get acclimated by Game Day..

Can we just enjoy some damn success without an off field circus? Just ****ing once?
When all else fails employ lawfare to stop the Patriots juggernaut.

Bizarre that in a thread about a Patriots defensive tackle facing criminal charges, we got a random Broncos fan starting fights about how the 2025 Patriots can’t beat the 2025 Broncos, and his sole reason for this is that former Patriots QB Tom Brady, who hasn’t been on the team for 6 seasons, had a losing record by a margin of 1 game specifically when playing in Denver in the postseason between the years of 2006 and 2016.

He just wanted to shake his ass at Patriots players recently being "arrested" (his term) and it degenerated from there -- not here for anything reasonable.

Feels like Barmore gets placed on the commissioners list with there being evidence of the alleged assault.
Won’t be until the arraignment. Last I heard that was scheduled a few days before the Super Bowl, but might be subject to postponement.

My guess, based on wording from the attorneys, the team and the league, is that the league will not do anything to either player until the arraignments, and the arraignments will get postponed until after the Super Bowl date. So ultimately, the Commissioners' List will not matter. We will then basically just be waiting to see the outcomes. I would speculate that both cases end up with dropped charges but we'll see. These are likely issues that don't impact 2025 but MAY slightly impact 2026 if anything.

I think it's 50/50 he is back next year regardless of the legal issue. His play has been not to the standard for someone due to make $13.5m next year. Might have needed a year to deal with the medical issue or might not be a system fit (which I doubt).

Diggs is next up.

Yeah, I was thinking about this earlier too. Even putting the legal issues out of your mind, his play has been so-so. You would have expected a huge leap from him playing next to Williams, but it hasn't materialized. As you said, maybe some of that is attributed to the medical (it's a surprise he came back from that at all, after all). Even so, at his salary, he needs to be a big-time difference maker to keep around. He hasn't been bad, but has not been remotely as good as his pay rate. Add in his propensity to get into a bit of trouble when looking at his prior police run-in and this, and it doesn't help his case.

Looking at his contract, 2026 is an ideal time to get out of it. He has a $12M salary, but only $2M is guaranteed. However, it becomes fully guaranteed if he is on the roster on the 3rd day of the 2026 league year. So they are incentivized to dump him before then and save that $10M. They would have about $10M in dead money, but gain ~$6M in cap space - and his ~$24M in cap hits in 2027 and 2028 each would come off the books, which is another $48M they can put towards new contracts for the next few seasons.

If he continues, I’m going to challenge him to a bet. Loser leaves the forum

Yep. I think there is another thread more appropriate for this discussion but IMO it's linked. You had the police pullover incident last year and this issue now...Does the team really want to pay $13.5m in cash to a guy next year who a) isn't earning it on the field, b) issues off it, and c) a medical issue (which I guess is being managed well)?

Right. He has value but not that value. Maybe they can talk about a restructure in which he agrees to a much lower guaranteed salary and can earn back his higher pay through incentives. They will say we like you but you are not producing at a level where you are worth $12M+ to us in 2026. We would rather release you and pay $2M. And he will know he won't get that much cash from another team. But he may also rather get a fresh start on a 1 year deal somewhere else as the top guy vs. in a rotation with Williams, Tonga and the young guys, then cash in on a big contract again if he succeeds.

I thought this was a Barmore thread?

I think perception isn’t 20/20 with a guy like Barmore.
Sacks are not his primary function. His most important work, that helps the team the most goes largely unnoticed .
What can happen is a DT who doesn’t play the run very well, who doesn’t maintain rush discipline but who makes 4-5 big plays over a 10 game periods stands out and gets praised while the guy who does his thankless job well but doesn’t get the standout plays seems to be underperforming.
A lot of the standout plays by a DT are also a team effort, where a blitz gave him a lane off a stunt free him up.
I think Barmore has been fine this year.

Hes been ok. Hes gotten some decent pressure but that has come at the risk of his run D.
