From what I could tell the shot had just a Stafford jersey.
Yikes, well that's a pretty bad look.
As I mentioned earlier, when I watched Breer on NBC Sports Boston the other night he was talking like he was giving Maye the edge.
I could have misinterpreted, but it appeared that way to me.

That's interesting. Somebody else here saw something from him where said he was voting for Stafford.

Obv he didn't say who he was voting for, but he discussed many things.
SOS, supporting cast.....etc.
It was on NBCsportboston at 6 PM right after Felger & Mazz, 2 days ago I believe.
I'm sure someone smarter than me could find the video and see what they think.
I did see Orlovsky on McAfee the other day, and again without saying it, he strongly indicated he was voting for Stafford.

I heard lots of national radio today. Maybe not lots but whoever was filling in for Jim Rome. I don't listen to that either but weei was simulcasting it for the holiday and whoever it was went all in on Drake as MVP.

So there's plenty of talk about how Maye is the MVP.

I think he's gonna win it.

I hope so.

Here is Kimes (who has vote) talking about why she voted Lamar last year and she said one of the reasons was strength of defense played (another example of being talked about before this year).

If she weighs that same criteria heavily, that would obv favour Stafford significantly.

She is very thorough tho, so one would hope/think she will dive deeper and look into pass defense specifically, where on avg Maye has played tougher opponents.

She also mentions things like rushing yards, passer rating, quality of Oline...etc, so I'm sure she will do her homework.

She did mention that but she also mentioned everything else that Maye is the clear winner in minus total TDs and frankly I think it's close. I expect for Maye to close that gap even more this weekend.

For sure, she mentioned many things that would favour Maye.
I've watched her for the past few years.
She seems to be thorough, and very objective, which we would hope would lead to a vote for Maye.

shes a mahomes glazer
ill n ever take her seriously

I don't think that at all.
She is better than so many other NFL media folks.
The only thing we can really ask for from any voter is unbiased, educated, objective analysis.
I have seen nothing from her that would indicate she won't use all those in her decision.
Whereas Orlovsky has basically said he's voting for Stafford. McAfee actually made fun of him and said he was voting for Stafford to make sure he gets invited to his birthday party (because O and Stafford are buddies). That's the kind of biased BS that turns the award into a joke.

Any professional analyst that calls Mahomes the GOAT when Brady exists im sorry theyre irrelevant to me

Is she? That’s disappointing.
Maybe she is, I didn't see the particular "glaze" Guts refers to.
She is one of the most objective media members out there as far as I'm concerned.

Yes quick AI prompt

The "GOAT" Conversations
Mina has explicitly entertained and pushed the "Mahomes is the GOAT" conversation on multiple occasions, often arguing that his peak is higher than anyone else's in history.
"Can We Call Patrick Mahomes The GOAT?" (Feb 2024): leading up to Super Bowl LVIII, she featured segments on her show specifically titled around this question.
The "Better than Brady" Argument: On First Take and NFL Live, she has argued that while Tom Brady has the greatest career (longevity/rings), Mahomes is the best quarterback to ever play the position in terms of pure ability and performance. She frequently makes the distinction between "Greatest" (Brady) and "Best" (Mahomes), often leaning toward Mahomes as the superior player.

the “Mahomes is the best quarterback to ever play the position in terms of pure ability and performance” **** people peddle is so annoying because it’s not true. using actual numbers and not basing it off “vibes”

you can make the argument for Brady, Manning, Marino, or Rodgers having the greatest 1 year peak

you can make the argument for Brady or Manning having the greatest 5 year prime

and can you even make an argument for Mahomes being the best in terms of pure ability anymore? whatever the hell “pure ability” means, I’d take Rodgers over Mahomes in that category if they mean what I think they mean which is accuracy + arm strength + mobility?
