We certainly don't NEED an upgrade. However, the team is always looking for upgrades.

You don't have EDGE listed. That's a huge need. IMO Landry likely retires. Chaisson resigned but we need upgrades at edge rusher.

I agree that edge is a huge need next year, but what makes you think Landry is going to retire? He just signed a 3 year deal last offseason, will only be 30 next season, and is still productive. Also Chaisson has not resigned, but I hope that he does.

We need another RB, at least for camp competition. Urgency of the need depends on how Gibson recovers. Some want a replacement for Rham. Larison has spent the entire season on IR after being injured in camp last summer and often rookies who lose their first year have their development stunted as a result. So we should at least draft a developmental rookie, and maybe even try to land a veteran FA or by trade. Is Breece Hall a FA after this season?

Landry isn't the same player injuries have caught up with him.. point in case he was electric off the edge first half of the season after he got hurt in the saints game he wasn't the same player. His love and respect for Vrabel more than anything is why he pushed through playing hurt. I just feel personally he pulls retirement.

I mean Chaisson resigning in the offseason. I'd look for rushers in the mold of will Anderson types with relentless motors.

Honestly, I prefer Chargers. I think if the Steelers get in tho they’ll be the worst team in the AFC playoffs. Only playoff team worse than them would be Panthers/Buccaneers depending on which of the two get in

I thought that was only offense side needs.

I must have misread it. Was thinking team needs as a whole. But even though I like the collection of WRs we have Vrabel's always going to look to add.. no HC is content with thier current roster and will always look to add anywhere on the roster. The primary thing this team needs to beefed up depth.

Rham, gibby hendo are the backs heading into next season.

WRs Diggs is under contract * as is Hollins. Boutte should see an extension, pop as well.. Williams on a rookie deal.. Chism will be in the mix.. I personally believe we should add at TE in the passing game.. draft and FA..

The way Baltimore is gaining steam i can see Henry running them into a win Sunday.. that power running game is something defenses don't want to deal with in the postseason.. chargers would to be my preferred draw.. not that they are an " easy" opponent. However Herbert is playing injured with that hand.. having Williams back up front with Spillane will absolutely help get the pass rush at least marginally better.. Herbert is a pocket passer and will be protecting that hand..

On defense Drake can eat up thier secondary.. James is thier biggest threat on defense at Safety.

Gibson has been injured before and with scar tissue build up who knows if a RB will ever be right.. Definitely agree day 3 replacement. Rham has been excellent down the stretch his blocking/blitz pick up is invaluable to the team.. he will remain here through at least next season.. IMO however if we could get Breece Hall I believe gibby could be the expended one.

sure, we'll bring in late round draft choices, low level signings and UDFA's at lots of positions, including RB.

I think that there is ZERO chance that our top two are leaving, so the competition is for #3 RB, FB on the 53 and on the Practice Squad.

We have a good start at camp competition with
#3 RB: Gibson, Larison, Jennings, Johnson
FB: Westover, Lampe

I won't be hard to focus on our needs.

Of course, we will have to make the relatively minor extensions or replacements to Hooper and Hawkins, That;s a given. We have to fill those positions.

THAT BEING SAID, all the focus should be on the OL and on the defensive front seven, both during free agency and during the draft. Obviously, Vrabel might find other upgrades, but the focus should be clear.
