Yes, where are his posts about this supposed bet where he said he would leave the site?

Adios Barmore
Unfortunately it may result in being this. Barmore comes from a tough part of Philadelphia and had to overcome alot of adversity. Maybe he needs some anger management. The guy was humbled going through what he went through medically.. and Vrabel loves him. However couple that with the off field and on field production it may be heading towards a spilt in the offseason.

Thank you Ian as our beautiful country is divided enough. I come to the forum to escape the political BS and talk sport's. I appreciate you taking charge.

Great insight, thank you.

If this makes its way to court would there be a jury or just a Judge?
He is entitled to a jury trial under the Constitution but can ask for a bench trial (no jury, just judge). My guess if it comes to it he will want a jury trial.

I mean, we'll know Sunday.

People making strong proclamations either way until then are talking out of their ass, usually trying to promote an agenda one way or the other.

It would be impressive if it weren't so sad. The fight between the posters deleting the word 'uppity' 50 times before posting, and the posters deleting 'all women are money-hungry hoes' 50 times before posting has been quite the sad war to watch.
Tommy call me crazy..but as far as the TEAM.. the locker room, is think this may have brung the players even closer.. this is already a close nit team a band of brothers.. it may result in a deep post season run...

Thanks for all this. I just had a question about how you came to this conclusion with the above quote.

Why do they only fit into the civil nature of the dispute? Why is the text only related to labor claims? How does it support Diggs contention that nothing happened?

When I read the report, this text is the only thing that stuck out to me, because I immediately supposed it referenced the bedroom incident, especially as it was proceeded by "You don't need to do this..." Diggs said nothing happened, but the text says something happened.

So I read it the opposite way that you do, and if it is admissable (if, for instance, they investigate who sent the text and determine whose phone it came from), then isn't it possible a prosecutor would bring a witness to the stand who could explain what they meant by sending that text? I should think this gets very complicated at that point.
What I meant was "you don't have to do all this" and "it's not that big of a deal" are not direct admissions that a crime was committed and can be interpreted to mean all sorts of things, especially because the parties were engaged in an admittedly highly charged dispute over wages. And as the police had not yet contacted Diggs at that point, an argument can be made the texts were referring to something completely different unless evidence comes out that Diggs/his people were somehow forewarned that the cook had filed a complaint. The State has to prove this beyond a reasonable doubt, ambiguity helps the Defendant, especially when there is a collateral civil dispute going on and we have no idea what other things were done and said between the parties in that regard over that time.

wow thanks.... being in san diego i don't get to see that. that's enlightening and encouraging. i now wonder if she's already dragged him in the media ...if there is motivation for him to pay her. he may feel like he's already paid and let this go to trial so he can get a not guilty verdict out into the media especially when paying her may look like some sort of admission of guilt.

Your absolutely welcome.. yes. I saw this and felt similarly to you. Being on the west coast and this Being patriots related news it's not a surprise. I can't even watch I ssc of patiots related news without this taking over Boston airways. I believe they will settle out of court.. the common demonization here is money owed..

@PATSYLICIOUS

For some reason I don't get the feeling this team is one and Done in the playoffs.

The timeline is confusing. It happened in August, and apparently the team was aware at that time and made the league aware at that time as well. Since then, she did not file charges in following 4 months, and even said a few weeks ago that she will not press charges, but then weeks later, pressed charges anyway. I'm not sure why, but I don't know why the league would suddenly punish him NOW if they've been aware of it the entire time just because she finally decided to file paperwork on it now.

There is, at least, the potential for some level of evidence (a photo of bruising) for Barmore's situation. I am guessing the team will have him sit this week for an "unrelated" reason (the illness Vrabel claims he has) in a game that they probably would've sat him for anyway, talk to the league again, see what else comes out, and get things squared away.

Ultimately I don't think either guy misses time based on what we know so far.

I know. That is why I wrote some of them are prominent.

But are we really surprised the PR on this, 2 of them in the same day is bad, and people noting the Patriots support?

I question the PR team up there because if they knew the Barmore stuff was going to hit, why put themselves out there? Let it resolve.
Obviously, they knew about it, and obviously (4 months later), they didn't expect it would come out. Either his gf, the ATTY, or a hard working media type found a public record that had been there for 4 months and the Diggs thing made it suddenly timely.

Apparently according to one user, it was actually August 2024, which makes it a year and 4 months ago.

Ian logging into to do his daily check, then seeing this thread:

Wow,if that's the truth neither of these cases are ever going to see a criminal court room.

BTW- Ian or someone should get our resident defense attorney's, the B man, summary published for a wider audience or send it to his media buddies so they'd be talking .more intelligently about the topic when they are pontificating to their audiences.

Just a thought

I found this police report, or what is purported to and appears to be the police report, although I did not verify it in any way. It contradicts that earlier NBC news report that I saw claiming it was 2024. The police report clearly indicates the incident was in 2025, and clarifies the subsequent timeline which I’ve also seen misstated in some reporting. It also adds some context about Barmore allegedly having a history of problematic behavior.

They need to put something out. It’s their job, and not doing it leaves a vacuum for more pernicious rumors to flourish.

They may not have known either was going to hit, they may have known both were going to hit. Either way they could do nothing to change anything about it. But they need to react, it’s expected and if 5hey don’t they’ll be asked incessantly until they do anyway so it just highlights their silence which will be interpreted in the most harmful way possible.

Well I'll be. I had assumed all this talk of a bet was an exaggeration. What a silly bet to agree to.
