Well that sucks ! Two players in the same week. Domestic violence is one of the worst crimes and if he is guilty we need to move on from him. Absolutely no tolerance for that type of behaviour. I will hold judgement till we have more facts but I have this feeling that he is more guilty than Diggs. I hope I am wrong but it isn’t looking promising .

Based on the info and the Patriots' response compared to their response about the Diggs incident, this one seems more serious. And based on halftime last week, Barmore shows he has an uncontrollable temper.

Again, I am going to withhold judgement until more info is released, but I expect Barmore is more likely to guilty and get suspended than Diggs at this point.
I think there’s an interesting question about whether these cases, especially Barmore’s, would be handled differently if they weren’t Patriots players involved?

If the situations involved some respectable local community member, not a household name but a family man, substantial businessman, pillar of the church, etc. would they get the same process, charges filed, court dates?

Would the fact that with Barmore the victim does not want to press charges be enough for it to be dropped?

Would there be a pre-trial diversion of Barmore for anger management counseling? Or does that come later in the process, after arraignment?

Is Barmore’s case being handled more strictly in order to avoid perception that he’s getting overly favorable treatment?

Maybe @billikens would have insight to share…

Run D has been suspect, cut him get the cap back and fix the problem next year.

What's embarrassing is people like yourself and that clown Festy who think people are automatically guilty because of some news report.
Did you see anywhere I said they were guilty? I am simply not jumping over hoops making **** up in my head about all the different ways they could be innocent.

Cantstophittin*****esitis.

Highly contagious outbreak, apparently. Seems to be going around the team. The doctor on call has been replaced by a walk-in legal clinic.

Breaking News: Drake Maye cited for kidnapping.

Just some new years humor from this Bronco fan.

From PFT:

The NFL issued a statement on Wednesday afternoon, explaining that both matters “are under review of the Personal Conduct Policy.”

“There is no change to the status of Diggs or Barmore,” the statement explains. “Both are eligible to play at this time.”

The statement also points out that placement on the Commissioner Exempt list “may be considered following formal charges in the form of an indictment by a grand jury, the filing of charges by a prosecutor, or an arraignment in a criminal court.”

Don't know that the Police report for the Barmore situation has been released.
It's at the same level as the Diggs situation in that neither is being arraigned until February. Barmore's charge is only a misdemeanor, though.

Considering that the Barmore situation happened in August, it's likely he let the team know about it.
No arraignment would mean probably no potential suspension until after season, correct? Or indictment, prosecution.

But then the arraignment date has to clear correct? It’s not just having one scheduled

I agree. It's like clockwork. This stuff always seems to come out this time of year (if the Patriots are looking strong). Although it's usually some B.S. story that comes out the weeks prior to them playing in the Super Bowl. Not sure if the timing is planned in order to compel the player(s) to come to some settlement out of court in order to drop charges.

Well, it wasn't the aproximately 50,000 women and girls who were killed by their domestic partners in 2024 or the 730,000 reported rapes and attempted rapes reported in 2024 (just google "how many women were raped in 2024 and how many women were killed by domestic partners in 2024)

We all know that there are women who use these charges like weapons for money or other reasons. We've seen the examples and it's horrible when it happens. But compared to what men do to women they are miniscule percentage and to use those examples like they are of equal value is ignorant, Try and do better,

Should be “Patriots charged with robbing the cradle to get Drake Maye”

Interesting that the same "committee" waited until Rice's conviction and sentencing until they came down with that ridiculously soft 6 game suspension

Run D was among the best in the league when Barmore and Williams were both playing.

Both filed on the same date. Do they have the same lawyer?

Were those complaints filed by the same office? Signed by the same clerk or anything like that?

Whether the charges stick or not these are massive distractions. Yes it’s just the dolphins this week but let’s hope it doesn’t bleed into the playoffs.
