Still feel like it will be Stafford. Not because Maye isn't deserving, but because it means more for his legacy right now and is probably make or break for him having any shot at the HOF
Stafford’s place is secure. If he plays one more year he’ll retire 5th all time in yards and 6th in TDS, and he got his ring. The man is IN.

He has been a stats padder basically his entire career didn't win until he left Detroit.

Are we really going to ignore the fact that one guy is the wild card while the other guy has the best record in the league?

That one guy improved his team by over 300% from the previous year?

That one guy took his team from the worst record in the NFL to the best in a single season?

If the MVP is strictly a TD vs TD award then it's not really about who's more valuable.

Drake is the clear MVP.

If the voting is unbiased wich i doubt.. it should go to the guy that doesn't have Nucua and Adams and has his team the second seed in his conference..
Plus, Stafford is in the golden years and the NFL is all about paying homage to Vets.

No doubt. Stafford is absolutely deserving of it.. but Drake is simply the MVP when you think of what he's had to work with in comparison to Stafford.

The last wild card QB to win MVP was Manning in 2008, and he had no real competition.

Stafford’s volume numbers are a little better, but his case doesn’t seem strong enough to break precedent. Dropping two in a row while in the driver’s seat for the #1 seed has got to be a bad look.

Lot of support for McCaffrey on Get Up

The voters could and probably will do Stafford a solid and boost his HOF case by giving him an MVP.

Which of course would mean that MVP isn’t at all what the name of the award says it is.

Rams are still a playoff team with Jimmy as their starter. Pats 6 wins tops if Dobbs is our starter. Probably less than that. So who really is more valuable.

He's always had the numbers his whole career.. it just doesn't resonate in the average fans head because Detroit was so bad during those years..

Spot on. The problem is the voters. A true unbiased voter looks at it just like you mentioned it. Drakes the clear MVP here.

If you want to give Stafford the offensive player of the year because he puts up big passing numbers (despite throwing the ball significantly more than Maye) then by all means go right ahead. There are plenty of guys who have won OPOY who didn’t win MVP that season. But the fact is nobody in the history of the AP NFL MVP award has won it while their team finished 3rd in their own division. Yes it is a tough division as the Seahawks and 49ers are two of the best teams in the NFL currently, but you’d think as the MVP of an elite offense backed by a strong defense that you’d find a way to have your team at the top. Funny what happens when the guy responsible for 33% of your passing TDs (Davante Adams) is missing from the lineup… you lose both games and go from the driver’s seat of the 1 seed down to the 6 seed. That doesn’t sound like an MVP to me. It’s Maye’s award to lose at this point.

Well said... we lose one of our best WR'S in Hollins and Drake throws for 5 TDs the next game. Drake is clearly the MVP here. Drake had elevated this offense from worst to top 5 in a single season.

If this guy is triggered then give it to Drake. Lol

His last sentence is accurate tho. He thinks Brady deflated footballs lol.

It just gets tougher and tougher this year for Scotty Hatesalot.

Drake wins the "did more with less" arguement by a landslide.

This is why I hate the Bills and their fans so much. If you didn't know anything about football and you looked at how both our fan bases acted over the past 5 years you'd think they were the ones with 6 Super Bowls and the greatest dynasty in the history of the NFL.

There's being passionate and then there's being delusional.

Anyway, just came here to ask if Stafford is still the MVP after that bed ****ting.
I mean… at the end of the day football is just TV. While our team has 6 Lombardi’s anybody in the world can witness that and come up with their own opinions. This sport doesn’t exactly attract scholars.

Stafford barely has a winning record in his career

119-118-1

There are people in his replies showing him stats and common opponents and his response is "And?" The guy is a tool.

So do Namath* and Eli. Eli will get in only because he caught lightning in a bottle in 2 post seasons ( he went one and done in the other 4) and beat the hated Patriots.
Namath is the exception because SB3 put the AFL on the map.
Sunny Jurgenson and Warren Moon were both at .500
