Drake Maye has arrived . . .

Maye made sure Diggs got the TD for $500K today. Players appreciate that a lot
As an aside, the Patriots did restructure contracts, when possible, to give bonuses to players who just missed them for reasons that weren't their fault (e.g., being two or three snaps short of an incentive because of a blowout). I don't know if that was a Belichick thing or a Kraft thing.

Btw, how are MHJ & JJ McCarthy faring in the MVP race??

Maye has turned into a very good QB. You could see the potential last year.

I was going to mention that. You could definitely see there was a there, there. The moments of brilliance were there (the game tying TD vs Tennessee was brilliant), he just had a ****ty line, and terrible coaching. Vrabel & McDaniels have been HUGE in his development.

Got mine in London last year.

Ahead of the crowd. LOL.
Let’s hope I wear it more / longer than the 11 I bought in 2000.
Not funny sir. Not funny...

Wow…Brady must’ve been a system QB..

I still can't get over the incredible accuracy stats. 19/21 and 5 TDs... who does that? He's not impotently putzing around playing small-ball. He's legitimately completing 90% now, given a weak opponent, and the high 60%s against the good defenses. Game by game we're seeing his game blossom into something that's going to slam into the league like a guy in an Ultraman suit into a model of a Japanese city.

He's legit, but all the fans are asking the wrong question. Nobody should be asking "Is he legit?" They should be asking what kind of monstrous upside he'll be unleashing next.

This is why continuing to build his offensive line should be a priority. Give him a clean pocket to step up into and the opposing defense has no chance.

He's no Bo Nix. Just ask Sam, FCB, or Captain Quits and his acolytes, they'll tell you...............Or any other broncos fans for that matter.

I was looking at stats last night and didnt realize Nix threw the ball so much. He leads the league in attempts?!

Drake is pretty low on the attempts per game list. For example, hed need approximately 2 more games passing the ball at his avg rate to catch up to Stafford in attempts. And Staffords played one less game.

This is why the MVP race is so contested it really comes down to what you value more. A name you recognize putting up impressive volume stats? Or the new kid who is just plain efficient? It's like the 300 yard game metric, yeah it's a good indication your QB is playing well but the only time Maye hit it he threw the ball 40 times. That's just not the kind of game he is asked to play very often and the results speak for themselves.

There's a difference between Offensive Player of the Year, and MVP, the voters just tend to ignore it.

Stafford has had a heckuva year. If he wins MVP, hes deserving.

Mayes supporting cast is universally accepted as not as good as Staffords. Yet he still has the lead in basically every stat used to measure QB success other than total TDs. Hes one good play a game away from being undefeated this year.

Maye is truly deserving as well.

I think Stafford has to lose the Rams a game in these last 2 weeks for Maye to win the award. Those total TDs are the media backed advantage hes had over Maye for weeks now.

In the green stank forum yesterday they were hoping one the Jete turds would take out his knee...
I make an occasional visit to that board merely as an interested observer (most recently within the last hour, or so) and to describe it as a sewer of vitriol is to let it down easy.

I would have no problem if Stafford gets it, I understand the thinking and Maye will have plenty more chances to win it going forward. Personally I'd give it to Maye because my definition of the V Valuable includes salary considerations. Maye is playing like a 60 million $ QB at a 10 million $ cap hit. He is by far the most valuable player in the league and IMO it's not even particularly close.

MVP should really be literally most valuable.Where would the Patriots be without Maye? 6 wins? If even that…
