Three concussions for Wilson?Bradbury is 30. He's not improving on what you see.
Linderbaum may not cost you $20M, but likely will. But I've offered a very good alternative in McGovern. Signing McGovern has multiple pluses. First, it takes a valuable piece from the Bills. Second, McGovern has played C and LG at a high level. You can make Center Wilson's position to lose and have McGovern there if Wilson faulters or get's injured. If Wilson wins the Center job, then you've upgraded BOTH positions.
The problem with Wilson, however, is that he's injured for a 3rd time with the Concussion. It's worrisome enough that the Pats felt the need to bring Brendan Jaimes to the Active Roster. It also raises the question of what Wilson's longevity in the league is going to be.
I think he meant 3d injury, which happens to be a concussion. Not 3d concussion.Three concussions for Wilson?
This is the only one I’ve heard about.
I don’t think anyone on this board thought that these words could be spoken, seriously and accurately, in July. I have never been more vehemently wrong about a player- ever. He's turned into an above average back-up at tackle. That being said, it's unlikely he'll stick around as some team will offer him 12-18M to be their starting LT.
Lowe is probably going to go to a team that lacks a LT so he can start and make more money. Why would he sign an extension here as a permanent bench warmer without testing free agency when he has starting experience?BOTTOM LINE
Extend Lowe and Munford and we have a 2026 line that would be a bit better than this year's line. Of course, we would look for upgrades and even a cap savings equivalent to Onwenu.
LG/C
Wilson, Bradbury, Brown is OK.
RG
"Plug in someone we like into Onewenu's starting position"? That's your plan? If we can find someone in free agency, we will sign him to replace Onwenu. Extending Onwenu seems more likely.
Wallace is the plan as the backup? Look at the LG "plan" last year. We will need to bring in more, in free agency and the draft. especially if we sign an older vet to replace Onwenu. We have no backups as of now.
OT
starters: OK with Campbell and Moses
Backups: both current backups are free agents: Lowe and Munford: I'm Ok with them as backups, but a draftee is likely.
THE INACTIVES
Wallace and Bryant are prospects that are on the 53 and have shown nothing. That's fine. The team thinks enough of them to protect them on the roster so that they can compete in 2026. Vrabel preferred an elevation to Wallace and Munford with almost no practice to Bryant.
Merry Christmas to you and family!Merry Xmas back at yah.
You mean while he's concussed...?Anybody think Kayshon Boutte would accept an Extension now or is it far fetched??
He'd have to be con-cussed out if he didn't accept an extension... LOLYou mean while he's concussed...?
And who would be making the pick?
Hopefully not the guy who selected: Sidy Sow, Chasen Hines, Atonio Mafi, Layden Robinson, Caeden Wallace.
Which is not bad thing. The new Russ Hochstein
Strike while the iron is hot!You mean while he's concussed...?
I didn't say 3 concussions. Said injured for the 3rd time with the Concussion. Meaning the Concussion is his 3rd injury this year. Not his 3rd Concussion.Three concussions for Wilson?
This is the only one I’ve heard about.
Gumby - Wilson missed week 4 with an ankle/knee injury. He missed week 13 with an ankle injury. Now he's in the Concussion protocol.I think he meant 3d injury, which happens to be a concussion. Not 3d concussion.
Still, I’m not sure what the first one was: if 2d leg, 3d concussion. Was first back in preseason?
Didn’t say it was bad. Depth matters.Which is not bad thing.
Teams need depth players too.
How long before we consider that our best left side for the future may be Lowe-Campbell-Wilson, with Munford and Brown as backups?I don’t think anyone on this board thought that these words could be spoken, seriously and accurately, in July. That’s useful. I didn’t realize how much he had bounced around the NFL as a fringe bubble player. UDFA rookie with the Bengals, on the PS and briefly on the roster for the Seahawks, then on PS for the Cardinals and Raiders before the Patriots picked him up. Makes his decision to sign now rather than testing the FA market understandable; he’s probably had enough of being in the free agent market.Patriots' Offensive Lineman Breaks Silence On $6 Million Contract Extension
Patriots' backup offensive lineman Ben Brown is thrilled to have signed a two-year, $6 million contract extension with the team.nesn.com
Seems Ole Miss football is part of his heritage.Ranked a three-star recruit, Brown committed to play college football for the Ole Miss Rebels and became the seventh member of his family to do so, following in the steps of his father Tim (offensive guard, 1988–1989), maternal grandfather Bobby Robinson (left guard, 1962–1964), paternal grandfather Allen (end, 1962–1964), uncle Burkes (offensive tackle, 1991–1992), great uncle Jerry (tackle, 1959–1961), and father's cousin Alton (defensive tackle, 1971–1972).
