For our Defense to be ready for the playoffs

1) We need a healthy Williams, Tonga, Spillane and Landry.

2) We need to figure out red-zone Defense.

Laundry stink no pun.

We don't have a very deep team. The injuries have clearly shown that, and most of us would have said the same even before then. If we get lucky with injuries then yes I believe the starting defense has enough talent. But we have very little room to deal with injuries.

Having a terrible red zone defense will be our downfall in the playoffs.

Passing efficiency is both our greatest strength and our achillies heel. We have no capacity to grind out a long, clock killing drive to ice a game,

I hope we win against ravens and rest defensive starters for last 2 weeks . At this point I really doubt if we can get the divisional seeding .

We should try to win against jets and dolphins without our defensive starters .

Health of landry. Spillane , Williams and Tonga is crucial for post season .

For some reason, I remember Coach V kinda showing some disdain for long (offensive) drives earlier in the year. I took it like "we need to score faster" ... While I agree that long drives that end up with 3 points or 0 points stink, they can also be super helpful in giving the Defense a breather. That didn't happen in the second half on Sunday. Each of the 3 phases has an effect on the others. Special teams breakdowns also being a case in point on Sunday.
Truth is, we won't really know if it's "good enough" until the games are played, but great coaching, game plans, player buy in, etc. go a long way.
But I am really looking forward to getting Milton Williams back, Spillane back on track & our beloved T-Rex back!

I think they need a few more "gamewrecker" type of players on defense and offense. Defensively I would say Gonzo and Milton Williams are pro bowl kind of players. On offense, really just Maye but Henderson is coming on at that level lately so I'll give you 2. I think they gotta double that on both sides of the ball. Some of the ok/decent/average/good needs to be replaced with GREAT.

This league is insanely talented. There are 32 teams and only ONE wins the super bowl. It's a high bar.

Do you truly want BUF to win the division?

Nopes. But I would much rather have our defensive starters for postseason rather than winning division and playing without the defensive starters.

This offense scored 7 points in the entire second half, and it was off a big Henderson run and created by great blocking.

The second half went punt, interception (basically a punt), TD, punt, downs…

The defense let down their guard, so did the offense. It takes a complete team to win anything meaningful in the NFL.

People also seem to forget in just about every dynasty championship season, the defense or offense at one point laid a stinker.

Improve, fix the mistakes… take it one game at a time.
That’s the reality of it. Championship teams are forged in adversity. We’ve faced hardly any.

We could have had Hendrickson. But, in the long run, I support sticking with the plan. This year's achievements will be satisfying enough.
"We could have had Hendrickson"

Hendrickson has played all of 1 game since he requested a trade/was put on the trade block.

Laundry stink no pun.

They have had adversity.. I totally get what your saying but they have experienced it.. the team could have totally caved in had that gone 2-3 to start the season..but the Buffalo game week 5 propelled them to a 10 game winning streak.. they have had in-game adversity and we're able to pull it out...
Bengals, Falcons, browns, bucs, saints , they had struggles in those games and pushed through to win..

I just read landry has 8.5 sacks, thats not shabby. And i think he missed a game or two do to injury.
Landry sacks are just too far in between. He gets a lucky sack and then disappear for four games. Plus he's a liability against the run.

8.5 sacks is 8.5 sacks. that is considered a successful season by itself. if milton williams was playing he'd probably have more, the o-line would have to provide help to block williams
