Just heard that the Bills are staying in Providence (as visiting teams do) and they have been told to shelter in place due to the awful Brown University shooting incident. I don’t think it will have any impact on anything, but it’s a sad, interesting thing to hear.

I hope no one here is affected by it. My dad lives a mile away and like most people, is just hunkering down.

I doubt anyone with the Prairie Cows entourage would have reason to leave their hotel, regardless. Hopefully the bastard is apprehended soon.

Edit: @Patjew -- don't the Patriots also stay at a Providence hotel before home games?

Diggs is going to play the most snaps he has all season in this one, I'm sure of it.
I see a Big Game for H Henry too he's having quite a year.

Even IF Benford is there, we will target him.
This isn't a weak team, we have multiple players that can get it done.
That BS INT WAS ALL ON Burritos, he was a CHUMP.
I Don't expect Drake to do the same.
Fk Benford, he's going to get played.

We're going to win, because we are are better TEAM.
Y'ALL can play all the bullshtt You want.
We are BETTER than them.
That's it.

Forecast now calls for light snow throughout the game.

I think they stay at Patriot Place. That’s what I’ve heard, anyway, and it makes a lot of sense, logistically.

A question, please.

I've been ... somewhat mobile in the last couple of weeks, so I couldn't watch more than a few plays from the Cincinnati-Buffalo game.

I've generally taken the view that I don't hate the Bills that much, although I really dislike their coach, who is clearly a piece of asswipe, screaming at referees even when calls against him are obviously justified. But in the last couple of weeks, I've come to extend that. First, someone kindly posted a video of Josh Allen pantomiming and swan-diving whenever a defender so much as breathed hard close by. And then I've always been struck by how often the Bills defense lines up offsides and/or jumps the snap. The first Pats-Bills game seemed to me to be pretty well refereed, but I wasn't surprised to hear the Bills and their fans whining about calls against them that aren't usually given (especially not at their stadium).

Last Sunday, from the few plays I saw, there was something similar: a completely undeserved DPI against the Bengals where all the defender was doing was fending off contact initiated by the Buffalo player (Greg Olsen said: "Those are always going to go against the defender" -- not so, surely). Then there was a pass breakup against Kincaid over the middle where he started throwing phantom flags, although the breakup was completely legitimate: the safety went for the ball, got to it, and in doing so disrupted Mr Kincaid sitting down waiting for it. That is the way football is supposed to be -- or so I thought! Finally, I noticed that a Bengals cornerback was being held by a Bills receiver on the long scramble for a touchdown by Allen, but there was no flag.

So here's my question? Is it just me, or have the Bills and their fans become infected by Sean-McDermott-disease? And is that affecting the refereeing?

I really hope Spillane is okay. But, if his ankle is bad, I don't want him out there just trying to gut it out, because being limited in reaction and cutting will hurt us. I think Tavai, Elliss & Gibbens can hold it down - with the latter 2 being best to spy Allen and keep him from gaining 20yd scrambles. (maybe more Mapu too). With Cook & Allen the threats - the faster LB's are probably the way to go anyway. And we have Tonga back to plug the middle.
Not really worried about the WR's, but Kincaid & Knox could eat us up if we don't have a solid plan. We need a huge game from Woodson & Hawkins today.

Bills run basically 5 run plays, and really mostly two, inside zone left, duo right.
It makes their blocking assignments super-easy, that's for sure.

They embarrassed the Steelers with that Duo Right play. I think they ran it north of 25 times.

If Benford is out (which looks to be the case), that is a huge blow to the Bills. He is arguably their best player on defense. He did a great job shadowing Ja'Marr Chase last week and obviously had a pick six.

Obviously, the Bills had problems with Diggs last time. I don't think they would have put him in the slot all the time to shadow Diggs because he isn't a slot CB. But they could have left him alone on Boutte to allow the Bills to put more effort defending Diggs. Now if they put a lot of effort to shut down Diggs, Boutte could have a big game.

Also, the Bills elevated a DE from the practice squad. So there could be a chance that Bosa is out too. Bosa isn't as much of a loss though.

Mack Hollins might have another pretty big game himself. Especially since he'll be in there on run plays too. Corners have been having a tough time with him this year for some reason.
