Which game was that? He most likely was in contain, especially if it was against a mobile QB.

Everyone loves a sack or the aggressive pursuit of a sack, but the downside to that is more often than not, an aggressive lineman will end up overpursuing and take himself out of the play as a result, or get rode out by an OL. When an aggressive lineman goes in, he leaves a lane open.

BB generally preferred his DL to contain and tie up the OL to allow the more mobile linebackers to come through or fill in the holes to make plays.
Had to go back and look at my posts but was the Jets game. Below was what I wrote

Barmore-He was responsible for the ankle injury to Williams but obviously unintentional. He slipped on one play and went down on a rush which allowed Fields to escape to his side for a good run. Though I’d like to see him dominate a bit more I can’t say he did not play well overall and as the game went on showed some pretty dominate play, a bit of a slow start though. He was in the backfield right away on a run option but let Field escape around him by going after RB instead. Had a good stunt leading to a hit on Fields. He has a unique ability to get off blocks and make plays. Just missed another sack on a loop around. Forced Fields out of pocket leading to incompletion. Good quickness on his sack. Followed it up with a pressure. Next play he had Fields and never rapped up. 3 plays in a row where he was at the QB. He actually had a chance at 5 sacks in this game.

Pats defensive stats in games Gonzalez played (weeks 4-14):

16.7 PPG
290.3 YPG
34.2% third down pct.
89.6 passer rating against
5th in EPA

While they've been helped by the schedule, they've played well vs. bad teams with good offenses. Flacco & Dart had arguably their worst games vs. the pats. Their pass rush isn't quite where we'd want it to be but the defense is still one of the least talked about units in the league. They have arguably the best CB trio in the NFL & that reflects in their 3rd down defense.

Spot on.

The Bengals offense converted 10 of 12 on 3rd downs - 83% That's crazy.
Burrow torched Buffalo and passed for a 69% completion rate and 4 TDs. Maye is passing at a 71% completion rate.
Burrow was sacked 1 time.

I have 100% confidence in McDaniel's in this game. We saw how well he was prepared for the Browns when they were winning at the LOS.

Pats have to able to run the ball.
Who here said Burrow wasn't good? He's ****ing great. Ridiculous take.
Allen is the best QB in the league right now. It's going to take a conplete game from the team to win. STs, D and O must all be solid.

What are you talking about?

I was pointing out how bad the Bills defense was last week.

I was commenting on a Burrow post. Someone here was saying he wasn't good.
Yes Bills D can be had. Absolutely
Pats need to put up 30 to win this one. Totally achieveable.

The mediots are all lining up to pick the Bills over the Patriots.

Will they eat humble pie if the Patriots somehow win?
