Game could also come down to a game like this one...

I Don’t believe it will come down to the final minute & a big (“lucky”) stop.

That said, love the video memory.

Great game as well as the one where Vanderjack flashed the money in the bank sign to the NE bench and shanked the FG.

The whole NE sideline busted out laughing.
I remember that... .. that game was back n forth and as we know went down to that 4th down stop when teams would dare to go for it on 4th down period..

Sundays game between two of AFCs best teams could play out similarly.. I just believe we have the overall coaching advantage..

I know.. was just referring to that game as it was two AFC titans going back n forth all game.. in all honesty I hope it's a patiots blow out..

2025 is only a 3 game difference from Bufffalos 1st place schedule.

The Pats lost to Vegas, so now were talking 2 easy games. Buffalo just played the Steelers with a broken wrist QB. Burrow gave the Buffalo game away with his carelessness. Buffalo beat KC who are now 6 - 7. That 1st place tough schedule doesn't look so bad anymore IMO.

Atlanta and Cleveland came to play vs the Pats.
I know, but folks aren’t wrong to dunk on our schedule.

I worked in this industry that's not strictly true, they set their initial number based on their own power ratings which they have and money will move the number but only so far, they will take 90% of the money one way and trust their power rating if the number moves far enough.

Money has already moved it 3 points in Buffalos favour, it won't move more than another point no matter how much money goes on Buffalo it won't move to the key number of 3, they will just trust their initial number of Patriots -1.5 was accurate and try and get 90% of Buffalo money beat.

They could lose on this game but over the long haul they believe their numbers are more accurate than the general public, there's loads of NFL games this year with 80%+ money on one side of the spread and the public is losing big.
Yes, there are betting houses that choose to gamble, hoping to make money by their predictions and manipulation of the odds.

However, I believe (at it has been discussed and reported for many decades) that gambling houses do their very, very best to set odds that secure as close to even money on both sides. These companies make their money NOT on their gambling on the result. They make their money on the vigorish charged. $110 on one side and $100 on the other is what they live on, and live very well.

The key matchup in this game that will decide the outcome is McDaniels vs Babich. And to me its no comparison in experience and making adjustments. I fully expect McDaniels to be playing chess while Babich is playing checkers. Plus Josh has had an extra week to work on his game plan.

If we get off on the right foot I think our defense will out perform their defense. Our defense is so much more balanced and I think their secondary is ₣ØØŁŠ ĞØŁḎ

Bills fans doing the dunking need to sober up and look at their schedule.

The 3 game difference from the Pats weak schedule is that they have played the Chiefs who are not the same team anymore. The Texans who are legit. And, they will face the Eagles who dont look Super Bowl bound to me.

Spot on. Kincaid is still out? Didn't see him play last week.. everything you said is spot on accurate.. Allen utilized his TEs heavily in the pass game..

On defense as you mentioned controlled rush.. keeping Allen in the pocket.. tonga,Durden, Barmore, Gregory will be a handful inside against Buffalos OL even though it sucks not having milt they can hold up!

Ellis, Marty or Woodson, Hawkins spy Allen

Mix up.. man/zone/shell coverage.. force Allen to throw outside the numbers.

On 3rd down Marcus on Shakir and, or Hawkins or Woodson on knox.

On offense..

Spread Buffalo out.. Henderson on stretch runs to stress buffalos front, utilize Henry and Hooper against thier LBs.. diggs in the slot, Boutte on the perimeter..

On 2nd and short look for Williams to get deep to stretch buffalos secondary..

Most importantly some designed runs for Drake in the red zone and control the clock with rham and Henderson

Patriots 27-20...
yeah, Kincaid played vs Cincy... even scored a td

Losing Williams & Tonga affected the run defense most definitely as they are two of the best run DLs in the league.. however guys like Durden have stepped up to lessen the blow.. of course missing Williams is huge..however the defense allows together has still been solid.. with Barmore, Durden inside the interior pressure has increased last few games..
I agree that the Defense has adjusted without Williams and Tonga; but are weaker, not stronger, without them.

Anytime you don't have a player the level of Williams you will be impacted.. that can be said for any team without it's best player in the defensive front... similarly to the Eagles not having Carter last night..

It's better than you think.
I agree that the running game is better than the poster you responded to thinks that it is.

However, it not very good, especially in short yardage and red zone situations.

The Brain Trust have had 2 weeks to put something very arcane together. I hope it will be worth waiting for.

I really doubt it will be "very arcane." More of the same but with different window dressing. That's playing to the strengths of the EP.

That being said, I do hope we'll see a different approach to attacking the RZ as well as better RZ packages.

Agreed. Pats will never get the respect deserved.. they have had in- game adversity all season.. they have been down in games and have came back to win.. they nearly won against steelers with 5 TOs!! They respect thier opponents and they know everything Buffalo presents as an opponent.

I expect Vrabel to tweak the game plan a bit to still limit cook. Allen Ad libs off cook and the running game...

Being in the top 6 of power rankings is not being respected (at least one service has us at the top)? IMO, we are one of the top 6 in the NFL, with no team clearly better than the rest. Does that mean that I don't respect the patriots enough?

What do you want? Would it be good enough to have every analyst saying that we are the clear best in the NFL? Is that what you believe? Is that what you need to think that our team is respected?

Do analysts and broadcasters really need to say that we are clearly better than the 5 other teams be enough to meet your need to have us be respected?

EDIT: I edited to include GB in the top 6.

Ted Johnson said on the breakdown that they should definitely use Mayes legs more inside the 20. They seem to be very risk averse in the red zone. Seems like all passes are of the type that only the Pats receiver can catch it (fades to diggs, boutte). Teddy J notes a play vs Miami where Maye rolled out in RZ and hit Hollins.
I've been saying for years that they screw themselves bc McDaniels runs on first and goal or first down inside red zone almost every time. It's like clockwork - first and goal from the 8...Stevenson for no gain....first and 10 from the 15... Stevenson for -1...unleashing Maye will be the key to improving this horrid RZ offense

I'm curious about Jennings status. I think we really need a 3rd RB like him to do some of that heavy hitting inside. I don't want Hendo or Rham on the must-have 3rd & 1.

.. I see your points. However who's the 11-2 team LAR or NEP?... in so many ways appears as while NE has put themselves back on the map.. the stench of 4-13 seems by some talking heads not to escape them.. probably going to take them to best the bills again to get into the 1 spot?...
