That would be a HUGE mistake. We have 3 excellent man to man CB's. Why take that aspect of their game away. True zone would make it easier to defend Allen against his running ability but make it easier for him sit back and pass against them, especially with their TE's. No, they need to split their coverages and disguise them well. Play good run D and devise ways to pressure Allen. Easy to say, but hard to put together

The Brain Trust have had 2 weeks to put something very arcane together. I hope it will be worth waiting for.

I agree, Vrabel and Co. will have a good game plan for the Bills.

I mean…our schedule is a cakewalk this season and next year will be a gauntlet. Even before the season started it was hard to see an easier schedule on paper. That’s fine you fight who is in the ring, but we have had it easy this year.

Good. I have always believed that playing strong schedules is the best way to be prepared for the playoffs.

Any chance this is flexed to a 415 game or is it too late?

One thing to consider is that Kincaid was injured until last week, and he's the key to their offense. He also killed us in Buffalo. If the Bills have looked bad on offense recently, consider that they now have Kincaid back and he knocked off some of the rust.

We only had one giveaway in that game, Rham’s fumble. Ponder has given us much needed help off the edge, id love if that continues
Ok. For some reason I'm thinking we had 2 giveaways? But yes, Ponder has 3 sacks as a rotation player and rookie and I expect him to get better and better.. the experience rookies are getting this season is invaluable.

2025 is only a 3 game difference from Bufffalos 1st place schedule.

The Pats lost to Vegas, so now were talking 2 easy games. Buffalo just played the Steelers with a broken wrist QB. Burrow gave the Buffalo game away with his carelessness. Buffalo beat KC who are now 6 - 7. That 1st place tough schedule doesn't look so bad anymore IMO.

Atlanta and Cleveland came to play vs the Pats.

Agreed. Pats will never get the respect deserved.. they have had in- game adversity all season.. they have been down in games and have came back to win.. they nearly won against steelers with 5 TOs!! They respect thier opponents and they know everything Buffalo presents as an opponent.

I expect Vrabel to tweak the game plan a bit to still limit cook. Allen Ad libs off cook and the running game...

got this one wrong, my bad, thought you were talking ravens...
Was hoping if it was flexed would be a 4pm window game.. these night games suck.. for those of us who have to get up early the next day..

Nothing will surprise me this game. Bills are a damn good team and Josh Allen is one of those guys who can cause you to throw out all your schemes and match ups. Cause he can just pull a rabbit completely out of his ass. Bills are a super bowl contender and if they won it all this year it should surprise no one.

I like the Pats at home. But it will be hard to beat the Bills twice in one year and that is probably what Vegas is counting on. Cause the Bills have more things they can fix and change than the Pats. It is easier to fix things that didn't work when you have failures as an example than find ways to do new things that work from scratch (which is what the Pats have to do... cause they can't just run out the exact same game plan again). This is part of what Vegas is considering i think.

All i will say is this. I don't like the Pats in a shoot out. if the Defense has a game all the sudden where they just let it get away from them. That favors the Bills massively even if the Pats offense comes to play as well. The higher scoring the game, the more i think that works in the Bills favor. The less points scored the better i feel about the Patriots. If 50 or less points are scored, i like the Pats. If over 50 i start liking the Bills more as it goes up. If over 60 Bills win is very likely. If 45 or under that is 100% a Patriots win IMO.
Great post Bob.

I'll add the difference. Patriots have the coaching advantage. Outside of Allen the Patriots roster is better especially especially on defense.

The Patriots know the bills are good as they've won the division past few seasons.

I can also guarantee you Josh and Vrabel are showing them film from the 47-17 beat down in the playoffs from 2021..

The bills are a contender, but so are the patiots. Close game but with the division in sights here patiots pull it out 27-20..
