The bills board has this gem:

Funny to see they have a thread about Drake (insecure?). More jilldos have started to acknowledge that he is in fact good qb and see him as a problem in the division. Others continue with things like who have they beat? For starters the jills! Others are like but but he is not better than 2020-2024 Allen. Well how about this genius take 2020-2024 Allen is not better than 2007 Brady, in fact no one is. Living in the glory days? Oh thats right never won a SB so there are no glory days!

I remember before the first game this season they claimed it would be our SB when we played them. Still feel that way? Looking up at us for round two.

Oh and I see you PatsFanNH over there talking with the jilldos. You dont hang out with the monkeys in the zoo unless you like poo being flung on you.

Lovely. Will enjoy tonight

It’s truly eye opening to see your hated rivals finally acknowledge a player they hate is really good. I’ve seen that close up here in NY.

I’m an Islander’s fan in hockey. The Islanders have struggled (mostly) for 4 decades. I remember going to an Islanders/Rangers game back in 2010, and the Isles had John Tavares in year 2. When you go to an Isles/Rangers home game for the Isles, the arena is 50/50 fanwise. The Isles lost in OT, I’m wearing my Tavares jersey, and this Rangers fan made a beeline, headed right to me after the game. I expected smack talk because the guy was so drunk. He looked me right in the eye, and drunkenly said, “man, Tavares is really good.” I was in shock. But that’s how I’d feel if a Bill’s fan said something positive about Maye.

Its just strange to me. We don't dedicate a thread to Allen and compare him to our qb. I think Allen is great and better at some things than Maye and vice versa. Clearly the Pats and Maye are living rent free in their heads. Perhaps some more WWE table shenanigans will help with that.

Thing about the Bills is — I can never really bring myself to hate them of their fans. During the post-Brady/BB lull, I never felt they were in the same category of disdain as the Chiefs, Steelers, Ravens, Colts and even the Broncos — as far "please don't let THEM win it..." I would have been good with a Bills title (or Bengals) in that stretch. Allen seems a cool guy and the fans well, they live in and around Buffalo so ... That said happy to see the Pats return them to star-crossed status.

I hate Bills fans because they haven't won jack **** but still crow on like they're the team in this division that has 6 Lombardis. There's being passionate about your team and then there's being delusional. We've got 6 rings, the Dolphins have a perfect season, **** even the Jest won something at some point in their otherwise miserable existence, but sitting my fat ass here at my desk I have just as many super bowl rings as their entire organization.

When our own fan base was proclaiming Brady was the GOAT after Super Bowl 39 I kept my powder dry, because Montana and Bradshaw both had 4 and winning Super Bowls is what actually matters in this game. I waited another decade before I passed judgment, these hicks haven't even won a conference championship in this window and they're already claiming Allen is the best QB in the league. Why? What has he won? What has he done when the pressure was on each and every time? He choked, that's what.

Too many people confuse talent with greatness. This is why I think Drake has the potential to be special, because he melds his natural talent with intelligence to elevate his game. He doesn't just rely on it to bail him out. He's an assassin, not a gunslinger.

It was interesting during the Pat’s dynasty, Bill’s fans acted entitled like they deserved the praise and respect. That led to me hating them and their fans.

I could be completely wrong, but I feel like people who don't hate them have only ever seen them on TV broadcasts, so to them I say try looking online on reddit, these forums posted above, etc and see how you feel about them.

Also, when I say hate let me be clear, I'm talking strictly in football fandom terms. I wish them no actual harm beyond misery on the football field. Same as I feel for the Giants.

The irony of the comments on that board are really funny like this gem "let's see how he does in the playoffs against better competition". Kind of like how Allen and Bills continually lose in the playoffs?

At least some other posters are giving them pushback on that stupid statement and give Maye credit.

By better competition they must mean better than Bills since we beat them.

They wouldn’t know what greatness felt like unless one of Jim Kellys teams were able to pull one off. Which they didn’t.

Tom Brady was 33-3 against them in his career and 17-0 at home. That was sheer shameful domination and for some reason I’ve seen Daddy jokes about the division come out of those fans the last few years.

Short memories from those fans for sure. I think what we are seeing are the insecurities and denial coming back to haunt them with Drake Maye. They’ll give us some battles over the years but their reign is over as short lived as it was..

Josh Allen is the best QB in the league.

The problem is he isn't set up for success by his coach or GM.

They don't have the personnel or the coach to get them over the hump.

He *was*.

Check his numbers on the road this year. Check his numbers in Bills wins. Unless he's able to be a game manager, they lose.

He hasn't seemed the same this year for me.

Maybe it's the everything around him, but he take a lot of hits.

mainly feel the same way actually. But it's really fun to tell them we're closing the window now, bc we felt a draft...

To be fair to them, they have to live with A) 0 Super Bowl wins, and B) going to FOUR STRAIGHT SUPER BOWLS AND LOSING EVERY ONE!

A "down" few games one year doesn't change several years of elite play- especially when his coach and team isn't doing him any favors.

Nah, Pats fans would never behave like that...
