Patricia and Judge got blamed for Corky Jones. Many of the plays that Patricia called would have been successful if the ball had enough momentum to reach the target.

Funny, today Patricia is the DC for an undefeated team that is about to play for the Natty and Judge is the QB coach for an 11 - 1 team.

But, somehow and someway they are terrible toxic coaches.

They were UN-qualified for the last positions they had here. And yes, Judge Joey is indeed Toxic.

I thought MattP and Joe Judge were both great coaches while they were in NE for their first stints. both coordinators on very well coached and schemed units.
I thought their resume's were lacking for their last jobs here on the offensive side of the ball.
great coaches learn from their mistakes and improve.
I believe Matt and Joe have. I wish them well and have no ill will towards them.

Swing and a miss....

Kiffin is said to be taking all his offensive coaches with him, which would mean Weiss Jr.

"These plays would have worked if the players were better" isn't exactly a glowing endorsement of an offensive coaching staff. Calling plays around your team's weaknesses is part of coaching, arguably the most important part. And I certainly understand that Mac at QB is not very good and the OL sucked and the weapons were trash so it's not like it was a fair shot to succeed. But they just dropped in two coaches with no real experience and an inability to salvage anything is a natural result.

Even outside of the on field results there were all sorts of reports that the unit was disorganized and the players would get mixed messages in meetings or Patricia would contradict himself or not have answers for the players. They really just weren't qualified to lead an offensive unit with such limited experience on that side of the ball.

Patricia is doing great for Ohio State but back on defense so not sure how it proves or disproves anything about him as OC. Judge is doing a seemingly fine job at QB coach now, but they also have actual qualified offensive coaches above him. It's not like Judge transitioning to QB coach was absurd on its own merits, but doing it with no real offensive coaching structure in place ahead of him was what made it ridiculous.

Though Lane Kiffin is heading to LSU and won’t coach Ole Miss in the College Football Playoff, there’s one prominent Rebels assistant who is staying put through the postseason.

Offensive coordinator Charlie Weis Jr. followed Kiffin to Baton Rouge on Sunday and will be a part of his staff in 2026. Yet Weis was announced as part of Ole Miss’ postseason staff on Tuesday, as the Rebels will retain their offensive coordinator for the rest of the season.
