Patriots Player Departure Keion White traded

Sucks to watch Keion White applying a lot of pressure in this MNF game, and batting passes down. He's the one who caused that key intentional grounding on 3rd down. We could use him right now.
According to some local reports here.. whites problem was all attitude related. No question he has the skills set. Just couldn't put it all together here. We can't get pressure rushing 4.. is why kurh has to blitz.. I know Barmore dealt with a serious health condition last year so I'm not going to be to harsh on him.. however outside of Chaisson we don't generate enough pressure.

NFL Pro says one pressure last night. That does at least mean he has a pressure in 3 of his 4 games with the 49ers, compared to 1 out of 5 with the Pats.

Yeah because we got so much out of him here. The transparent agenda some of you on here carry is ridiculous. It looks even worse when we are 10-2 and in the 1 seed in the conference to be lamenting over Bill's long lost draft busts.

Agreed. A guy who was a starter in training camp, lost his job to Chaisson and from what local reporters mentioned was his attitude was the number 1 issue.. when Vrabel said riding entitlements white was just that..

The BB hate naturally leaks out as posters, like 203Pat, blame their hate on a BB supporters' conspiracy theory.

Three different coaches couldn't get anything out of him. White seemed to be quick to throw Mayo and his staff under the bus last year like he was some diamond in the rough they were ill equipped to find. Then this summer he talked a lot of about putting the pads on and being violent only for him to lose his job to Chaisson a month later. I am glad White found a role out there but lamenting the loss of a guy with an attitude issue and no production while we are 10-2 and his replacement has matched White's career sack total in the 11 games so far.

Call it whatever you want but the agenda is clear. One of the biggest Bill boys on this site lamenting the loss of a guy with half a sack and three tackles in a year where we are 10-2 is about as transparent as it gets.

Vrabel screwed up White. This kid was set for a breakout year and Vrabel failed to develop him. If he wasn't in the plans he should have done more because pass rush is our biggest weakness and very well could be what holds us back.

Well said and valid on everything. He was given the benefit of the doubt as when Vrabel came in he identified guys that he could maximize. Drake, gonzo, Barmore to mention a few.. white was a guy we all had high hopes for.. seems as if he wasn't buying in.. here. That is a personal problem for the player.. all the other guys on the 53 and PS are developing and buying in.. I absolutely would have liked it to work for white here.. as had he developed and had the right attitude he could have been a force here. Oh well..

On another note.. I'm starting to believe the lack of pass rush is due to fatigue.. Hopefully get through the NYG game healthy and then get to the bye.. going to need guys rested and ready for Buffalo..

My position on things Breer alleges three years after the fact:

Such a classic Boston media POS tactic. Even if true WGAF, it didn’t actually happen and BB got canned anyway. Stuff like this is always, 100% of the time, about the reporter’s ego and nothing else.

Good point.

We are depending on a lot of young players and they deal with the “wall” of the longer NFL season.

Could that, along with the late bye, have contributed to the recent injuries?

Thanks for alerting me that I should never pay attention to NFL Pro. I actually watched the first half of the game.

Just wondering if they have him down for tipping that pass that caused the intentional grounding. Do they track that? And if they missed that tipped pass, what else did they miss?

I think you two are way too prickly. There is no agenda. I comment on how well other players are doing all the time (who were cut by Belichick). I'm sure someone has seen me post on how well Hjalte Froholdt is doing. In general I think coaches like Belichick and Vrabel give up on players too easily. Is it an agenda for me to say that we need huge upgrades at DE too since I hope Chiasson and Landry aren't on the team next year? I'm sure someone would call me out for saying it but apparently I can't criticize these two Vrabel free agent signings.

Deranged

I never thought you had an agenda. I was just commenting on white to 203s post. Obviously BB is NFL history and his trac record speaks for itself.. Vrabel is still writing his NFL coaching book and he has the wealth of internal knowledge from being around BB as a player. I don't know that I'd say hope.. as Landry has been playing through injury.. Chaisson is a type of player that BB would have loved.. here on a 1y deal and is taking advantage of his opportunity and he leads the team in sacks.. he should be retained. I agree edge is a high need for FA/Draft.. as fans we have to remember even though we have a 10-2 record this is still an evolving incomplete roster at many positions.

The pass rush I'd anticipate will be upgraded in the offseason for sure.

Agreed here. Week 14 bye that is essentially a entire college season already. That's grueling for the player's bodies. I could also see the rust and lethargic play that set in on Sunday wich led to the bad start offensively. Hopefully after the bye week they will be recharged.

I believe that coupled with the amount of snaps Campbell, Wilson, Woodson have played also factor into it. As they are starting players.

Passes defended aren’t a Pro stat. The “basic” stats are the single source of truth there.
