Now we get to see how this team responds to adversity. If they can persevere and overcome it they will definitely make noise in the playoffs. We will just have to wait and see how the OL depth stands up to the test.
We should be able to beat the giants with the OL that ended play today, with help from at OG a PS player and Wallace if necessary. Bryant will be there to back-up both OT positions.
========
The bye is coming at a really good time., allowing us to rest Williams, Campbell, Wilson and Schooler.

No they won’t lose to the giants unless they play much worse than the did today.
They played pretty bad today overall. Marcus Jones made a hell of a play to keep the game within reach for them. Wish the offense could have put more than 1 TD up on the board. Against that horrific defense.

I really liked the idea of saving an active roster spot by have Williams replace Chism as a kick returner.

This allows Vrabel more of the flexibility he likes to have. This is now even more important with two being added to the injured list.

The defense played well. The offense stalled in the red zone. They punted twice.
They won a road game. The Giants are worse than the bengals.

Williams looked pretty good too.

The defense allowed 13 points and scored 7. Hard to lose when your D allows a net 6 points.

I don’t think pros spend much time thinking about such things. They’re too focused on things like how to win when they’re being chipped or double teamed. They’ll study all their potential opponents or they’re not preparing, but if they get all excited about how they’ll wipe Lowe’s butt and then Campbell starts they’ll be SOL. So they won’t let themselves get distracted by such things. They’ll leave that for the fans.
They will attack the left side and if they don't they're idiots. Hope mcdaniels is prepared. The utter lack of any running game is going to make this extremely difficult

Love Craig Woodson. Ahead of the rookie curve for dissection and being technically sound. His physicality really felt like a next level of progress this game. He probably won’t get any votes for DROY because of his position, but wow has he been a nice add.

Apart of obvious plays he made, there were numerous times he was right there in view to clean up on plays if another defender missed their spot. Can’t say enough good things, excellent draft find.

Sometimes there’s guys who make the NFL solely on their tools and never actually produced in college, but 99% of even the NFL players who don’t make teams or do but never player “rose to the occasion” in college. You don’t often even get invited to training camp unless you did.

I have full confidence that if they thought Chism would make them better on the field he’d be out there. Odds are that the undersized, less than typical NFL athleticism receiver they signed as an UDFA is just a back to the roster caliber player who isn’t good enough to get WR snaps without injuries to a lot of guys.

Very few teams have consistently strong running games

Any Tonga update?

What even was his injury?
Didn’t really get details on it, chest related, possible torn pec but looked to me like breathing trouble for some reason

Trent Green is a little betch BTW

Ugly win still counts...ask the Clots.

Drake was very much off his game in that first quarter. He was laughing at himself, which is a decent sign because he picked it up as the game went on.

Keep the team away from sharp objects on the flight home.

Red zone O needs a lot of work.

How many times has this team been stopped on 1st a goal? I an remember a couple of red zone picks and at least two turnovers on downs.
