The current Diggs would be ok with it and I think Brown would be the clear cut #1 here. Diggs seems to be ok at this point of his career just being a leader and contributing even if it means he isn't getting 100 yards and a TD or two every game. I think there would be a potential issue if Diggs couldn't accept that Brown is THE GUY.

I think Brown's issues with not getting the ball is more that he is getting next to no throws in a lot of games even though the offense is struggling.

Brown-Boutte-Diggs seems like an excellent top 3 for the next several years

Brown-Boutte-Diggs seems like an excellent top 3 for the next several years

They aren't bad, but the Pats have no legitimate #1. I think Maye elevates the play too. Brown could make Maye the clean cut best QB in the league.

Nah! It is the offense. No one is performing well on the Eagles offense. Not DeVonta Smith. Not Saquon Barkley. If you watch Brown today, he still has elite skills. They just aren't getting him the ball.

And Brown won't cost as much as you think. I think he will command a second round pick at most. And his base salary is like $1.3-1.5 million a year through 2029. He has yearly option bonuses, but they still make him only cost like $25 million a year or so. Most of his money was already paid out by the Eagles. In fact, I think 2026, they would only owe him his base salary.
