Patriots are 9-2, Bills are 7-4.
That’s a 2 game lead, but it’s more than that, because:
- The Patriots own the head to head tiebreaker
- The Patriots are 3-0 in the division; the Bills are 2-2 in the division
- The Patriots are 5-2 in the conference; the Bills are 4-3 in the conference
So even if the Bills manage to beat NE in a couple weeks, the Pats still own all the tiebreakers. The Bills basically need to have a full extra win more than NE to pass them, so the Pats essentially have a 3 game lead, with only 7 games remaining.
Oh, also, the Texans have now passed the Chiefs in conference playoff seeding order too due to a better conference record, even if the Chiefs win this weekend. And the Texans play the Chiefs still.
