The Bill megathread (HC at UNC, girlfriend, etc.)

Pete Carroll is also killing the dream for BB to come back to the NFL. It's time for Carroll to call it a day as well.
70+ year old HC dont work on the professional level. Even Pops in the NBA with Wemby was still putting up losing seasons every year.

Now the SAS are sitting at 5-2 to open the season without an elderly man running the show.

Kids probably don't belong on the sidelines either. What a a bunch of clowns.

Aaand another one says nah I'm good.

This is NOT the headline news that you want as the AD of UNC at a time when we're entering the official letter of intent

UNC was deemed to have a decent recruiting class but it would seem that the BB and Bunny Show is driving kids away - and isn't likely to attract the best transfers either.

They can't/won't do anything right now except give BB the dreaded "vote of confidence" and thus acknowledge he's on the hot seat, driving more recruits away.

BB better be hoping that his own AD nor competing schools are paying attention to this - because it doesn't make the program look good.

Nice guy but I've never understood the love for Pete - even when here. He was/is and always has been a mediocre players' coach who got lucky with some teams.

I'll always remember him signaling wildly to get Bledsoe to call a time out in a pivotal situation with playoff implications. Word already was out that the players didn't have a huge amount of respect for Pete's leaderhip and strategy - Bledsoe looked right at Pete (only players could call TO then) and proceeded to take the snap and successfully complete the pass to help seal the win.

Pete wasn't fired immediately after that, but it was pretty much all over then. Not only had he lost the team, he lost Bledsoe, and the fans all knew it too. It was just a matter of time until BB would resign as HC of the NYJ.

Reminds me of one of my favorite Pats games from the Pete era, this win over Flutie and the Bills.

Drew to Coates for the win. Amazing finish. Pete called a throw from the 1 yard line and this time it worked lol. His smirk after the Patriots converted the 2 point play with no defense on the field lol

2:29:47 Dunno what the Bills were complaining about... Jones(#20) clearly pushed Glenn before the ball got there without even looking for the ball. That's a flag for DPI every time. Also I love Walt Coleman. One of the league's greatest refs of the day. Lol

That was the 1998 MNF game against Miami at home. They were down 23-19 at the time and ended up extending the drive and win the game after the go ahead TD to Jefferson. Going into the season, they were among the AFC favorites right below the the Broncos, but little did we know that teams within their division had caught up to them. Indy then took over in 1999.

I still don't understand the hatred Carroll gets during his time in NE when he had injuries in 1997 to some of their most important players such as Glenn, Martin and McGinest. Then Bledsoe in 1998 (Dolphins game), Edwards during the rookie flag football game and Ted Johnson and Ty Law in 1999. That 1999 team was trash and yet they still would've been 10-6 had Adam Vinatieri done his job. Carroll lost key players, Grier had awful drafts (which Bledsoe admitted to Edelman's podcast) and Carroll warned management that Martin was going to find a way to leave unless they get something done quickly. The Martin debacle was the reason Carroll won't coach without full control. He was Robert Kraft's scapegoat.

2-1 in their last 3 for UNC and they are bowl eligible.

Who won today? I had a wedding to go to today so I wasn't watching but the regular haters are quiet.

The irony being that since you left the actual game days were some of the quietest times because most people aren't wasting a Saturday watching a team that is barely on tv.

Troll

Not trolling. Whole games went by where like maybe three posts were made during the duration of the contest, even when they lost. Barely anybody is watching them. Ironically the only person who really changed behavior depending on the outcome was you.

Maybe if you didn't run away because you are so hyper invested in this, you'd have known that. But gameday has been one of the tamest times on this thread

You guys advanced the thread 20 pages with you're trolling and hate when I took break. Just more fake news by you.

And again, if you were here you would know that most of that was off field stuff like the leaked clip with his girlfriend. The games were like the least interesting thing. Also no offense, well actually yeah offense, the 15 pages the thread advanced in your absence were a pretty substantial slowdown compared to before you left.

You can also look back. The last game on Oct 25th before you came back there were a whopping 7 posts in this thread during the actual game. Most of the posts came after and were about the missed 2 point conversion when the clip came out. The game before that there also like 7 or 8 posts during the actual game. Both of those were losses. The few posts talking about it were just about how boring the games were. Traffic just wasn't really there. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Your hating didn't slow down one bit even though your opposition took a break. Only difference was my posts weren't there to set the truth.
