What the heck does aDOT stand for? Dorchester?... Department of Transportation?

Some of these non-traditional statistics I can understand; others, such as this one, seems like so much geek-speak...
If you don’t know that how do you expect to ever learn the secret handshake hip shimmy ass grab initiation ritual of the Cult of Verticality?

Lol average depth of target I believe. How far downfield he’s catching the ball
Pop's "DOT" has everything to do with Maye extending plays behind the LOS allowing extra time for WRs to shake free.

Big Ben & Seattle's Russell Wilson concur

This is nothing new. The "containment" philosophy has been around throughout the BB era. When utilized properly it is a good way to prevent mobile QB from making plays with their legs.

I expect we'll see a lot more of this tomorrow. Baker's productivity drops right down to the bottom when he is successfully funneled which means our D must put in a good game defending horizontally for us to have any chance.

Expect disguised coverages that force him into checkdowns and exacerbate his tendency to lock on routes by baiting him occasionally with a cover one look that rotates into a two-high, post snap

This will be the toughest test our OL will have to face (and Maye too). From what I've read, when the Pats line up they will be seeing at a MINIMUM, 5 men on the LOS and quite often 6. Tampa has a strong secondary and good S's and a top CB of their own.

Buc's HC is Todd Bowles, who was a Jets DC (under Ryan) and HC, and is very familiar with Josh and his offense over the years. So, so expect to see it look very crowded on the LOS. They want to make the QB nervous and want to play fast. They know a heavy rush is coming, but they don't know from where.

They expect Vita Vea to shut down runs up the middle, and LB's to fill holes of the gaps that are created when teams are forced to double team him. They invite you to run wide because their edge guys and LB's are all fast but on the small side. Their LB's are much like ours, good against the run and weaker vs the pass. So along with this being an away game and a hostile crowd, Drake and his boys will have to face a top 5 defense without 2 of its top offensive threats.

Now I don't mean to be a wet blanket on the Pats hype fest and all the good time zone chat, but there is a SERIOUS challenge for the Pats tomorrow, and Drake will need to take his game to a higher level if he wants the Pats to continue this streak.

So, I will once again be calling for the Pats to run (on occasion) a hurry up offense to wear out the DL and keep the defense off balance and not allow them to set up their complex blitz schemes.

I would like to see 2 or 3 designed QB runs. Use Maye's speed and size get to the outside with a blocking advantage.

I am very interested to see how they plan to pass block against Bowles' blitz schemes and 5- and 6-man rushes. Will they man block it, or slide to one side or another. Will the half roll the QB (setting up behind the OT, rather than the C) to slow the backside pressure and get the ball out quicker.

This is going to be a very strategic, coach driven game, with both sides very scheme driven to attack their opponent's strengths.

The Pats have a chance if they follow my gameplan, which is to score more points than the Bucs. It worked against Buffalo.

Alternatively, they could follow DoubleDeluxe's gameplan, which is to allow fewer points than the Bucs.

I prefer my plan, but will settle for DoubleDeluxe's.

Don’t forget the game plan someone else proposed where we lose but Kyle Williams gets 80 yards

Utilize Henry & Hooper in the middle of the field. That’s Tampa’s weakness. Also, get the ball to Henderson in space (backfield, screens etc..)

That one actually is useful. Average Depth of Throw. I.e. how far down field are you catching passes.
Of course when you don’t catch many a couple of long ones skew it.

(Elderly flashbacks to an old movie)

How about we go with 'timeless classic' movie? I'm thinking many of us would feel better about that and WTH, the kids still won't know what you were referencing

Don't know much about CPOE,
Don't know much ADOT,
Don't know much about EPA and SR,
Don't know much about nothing at all.

But I do know 7 and 7 makes 14,
And if you score more than the other team,
What a wonderful world this would be.

This is correct. No-one on the Pats gets more separation more quickly than Williams. If he could run the right route at the proper depth, Williams would be incredible. Big if.

Did I just agree with PF2? Am I a WR fanatic now?
