I don't think Neal is a guard, which is why I posted this under the RT thread.
Marcus Cannon took some time, but eventually turned into an above-average RT. A lot of people though he should be moved to guard, but he struggled there - for exactly the reasons mentioned above: quick reactions and proper leverage are crucial. I don't think Neal has that.
But I do wonder if someone like Doug Marrone could salvage him at RT. There's a lot of potential there, but it would take a willingness to put in the work and be coach able, which seems to be lacking. That's why I wondered if Ryan Cowden knew anything from his time with the Giants that made him see something.
