2026 Draft: RT

I don't think Neal is a guard, which is why I posted this under the RT thread.

Marcus Cannon took some time, but eventually turned into an above-average RT. A lot of people though he should be moved to guard, but he struggled there - for exactly the reasons mentioned above: quick reactions and proper leverage are crucial. I don't think Neal has that.

But I do wonder if someone like Doug Marrone could salvage him at RT. There's a lot of potential there, but it would take a willingness to put in the work and be coach able, which seems to be lacking. That's why I wondered if Ryan Cowden knew anything from his time with the Giants that made him see something.

A year is a long time, but that's a huge leap. Right now Miller is on my list, but I'd like to study him a bit more before going out on a limb like Foster. Not saying he's wrong, though.

The knock on him is that he's on the ground too much in the run game. Not idaal but I think coachable. He'll probably be a backup in his first year anyway with Moses still here.

I want a guy capable of being a starter in 2027.

Isaiah World and Monroe Freeling currently play LT but have played RT. Both the length and athleticism.

Blake Miller, PJ Williams and Max Iheanachor currently play RT. All need time, but have the tools.

Austin Siereveld is a 4 position player with starter upside, not sure if he projects best to T or G.

Caleb Lomu, like Blake Miller, needs to get stronger, but has elite footwork. He's currently a LT. So is Kage Casey, who could be good.

I'm not sure there is an Armand Membou this year, but there are some strong prospects.

Great stuff. They discuss Blake Miller around 18:00, Niki Prongos around 27:30.

They are not very high on Spencer Fano, like Caleb Lomu. Love Francis Mauignoa, but as a guard. High on Blake Miller and Niki Prongos. Isaiah World looks the part and athletic, but awful hands. Kaleb Procter has power but no change of direction.

I agree on the re Caleb Tiernan (too upright and stiff with mediocre footwork, JAG at NFL level), Austin Barber, Xavier Chaplin, and Gennings Dunker. Not high on any of them.

Cory Kinnan loves Kade Pieper, btw.

They do not evaluate Trevor Goosby, Carter Smith, PJ Williams, Kage Casey, Austin Siereveld, Monroe Freeling, Fa'alili Fa'amoe or Max Iheanachor. Would be nice to know their thoughts.

Of the guys they discuss, give me Caleb Lomu or Niki Prongos, then Blake Miller or Isaiah World. Smith and Freeling are in the mix for me, too. Siereveld if he projects well to RT.

Really interesting discussion. James Foster mentions that he was not at all high on Blake Miller based on last year's tape or summer film review, which is consistent with Brandon Thorn's 2024 review.

Niki Prongos mentioned as a possible late 1st round sleeper, but day 2 more likely. Prongos and Monroe Freeling my two favorites right now, Siereveld as well, but IOL more likely.

How do we feel about switching a LT to RT if we decide to target that position early? I'm thinking in terms of Isaiah World or Austin Barber in particular. Or do we just draft a ready made RT like Fano (increasingly unlikely), Francis Mauigoa, Blake Miller or Gennings Dunker?

Campbell is a franchise LT, and they aren't going to sniff a left tackle of his caliber in any draft from now on. I would go Edge or WR in the first round, then either a center or RT on day 2. However they may be able to get an interior OL in free agency, then they could go RT in round 2.

Bisontis is an outstanding pass blocker, I just worry about his run blocking and athleticism.

On a side note, I've found a Patreon site that provides all-22 film on most college games weekly for £5 a month. I'll probably sign up for that so I can start doing some proper scouting.

Like Miller and Freeling. I think a year behind Moses would be very good for them. Just like Bryant, need refinement. Either one plus Bryant would be a nice combo of backup tackles that can eventually play both sides.
Also like PJ Williams.

I'd guess that if your team's OL paves the way for 221 yards rushing while giving up 0 sacks, you will win.

We are always going to look at the draft in terms of need, and it will always be a big factor, but with Vrabel and Co. I think who the player is, as both a player and person, is also going to be a big factor. They are going to take guys with the same character and work ethic as Campbell and Maye, and will blow right past guys who are like George Pickens or Shadeur Sanders. So trying to figure who those guys are will be a big factor in trying to figure out who they will go after and when they will go after them.

I think that's a given with Vrabel. Part of why I like Austin Siereveld and Monroe Freeling. But it's hard to pick those guys out right now.
