I'm not really a fan of the new numbering system; but I could maybe come around if more stories like this come out where it means so much to an individual LB to be able to wear a 'skill player' number..... I might change my mind.

thanks for link.

I know, the NFL is somewhat like watching college ball.

NFC is light years ahead of the AFC again. Just like the 90s. This will be a great test to see just how much the Pats have improved.
I remember Bledsoe getting clobbered back in the day down in Tampa. We all thought that particular Pats team was a contender.

Ian Rapoport reporting that the Jets are offering all 3 newly-acquired 1st round picks plus their own 2026 1st to any team willing to take on owner Woody Johnson, but no takers so far.
Brick & Jack have had enuff.

???
NFC is light years ahead, I don't see that at all.
Seattle playing great, will Darnold turn into a playoff pumpkin again?
TB...decent
Eagles, up and down like a yo-yo
GB, play to their competition both up and down and just lost their best playmaker
Detroit, great on paper but like the Eagles, up and down.
Rams, good team.

AFC
KC
Den
Buff
Indy
NE
Balt
Pitt

I don't see a huge power discrepancy favouring the NFC at all.

AFC teams have a losing record versus the NFC this season.
Eagles just fixed their only weaknesses by making trades. Something Wolfe needs to learn to do.
Tampa is much better than any team the Pats have played this season with the exception of the Bills.
It will be a great test.

AFC definitely weaker at the bottom than the NFC.
Teams at the top tho, I think it's pretty even.

After last couple weeks the point of emphasis should be protecting the ball and pass protection. We lost the turnover battle 2-0 sunday or that game is another blowout likely. I think thats the first time we lost the to battle since pittsburgh and very nearly our first loss since then.

Bucs are going to be one dimensional Sunday with 1 proven WR. Scoring in the low 20s may be enough to win this one.

Whether or not Luke Goedke plays will have a major impact on this game.
Since he is a lineman rather than a WR or RB, this news flies under the radar.
Tampa's entire offensive line has been decimated with injuries.
Would be nice for the Pats if the Bucs backup RT has to start one more game.

Tampa Bay has certainly missed Luke Goedeke over the last six games. Charlie Heck stepped in at right tackle in Week 2 and has started every game since, and it’s obvious that this offensive line just is not the same when Heck is there in Goedeke’s place.

When Goedeke returns and takes back over for Heck at right tackle, it’ll be the first game this season that the Bucs will play with even four of their five starting linemen in their normal positions. Early on in the season, center Graham Barton started at left tackle for an injured Tristan Wirfs, while left guard Ben Bredeson took over for Barton at center. Mike Jordan then stepped in for Bredeson at left guard.

And when that return to normalcy comes for the Buccaneer offensive line, the hope is that it’ll revive the struggling offense as a whole. There’s still the matter of Mike Evans and Jalen McMillan’s long-term injuries and the need to get Bucky Irving and Chris Godwin Jr. back, but having 4/5 of one of the league’s best offensive lines back together should be a big help for an offense that scored nine points in Week 7 and just 16 against the Saints in Week 8.

Since Goedeke stepped into the right tackle spot ahead of the 2023 season, the Bucs offensive line has helped the offense rank in the top 10 in points per game (24.9), total yards per game (350.0), yards per play (5.6), passing yards per game (235.0), net yards per pass attempt (7.0), third-down conversion rate (44.2%), fourth-down conversion rate (61.4%), and time of possession (30:46) throughout that span.

There’s a reason Goedeke was rewarded with a four-year, $90 million deal in September, as he’s a cornerstone of the Tampa Bay offense. Getting him back ahead of a Week 10 clash with 7-2 New England would be fantastic, but having him return at any point during this upcoming three-game stretch will be a major boost for Josh Grizzard and Baker Mayfield’s offense.

No big surprises here.

Either way with goedeke, if he does play its gonna be hard to be ‘all the way back’ this week after missing so much time. Same with Godwin and irving who im hearing did NOT practice(goedeke was present). Both offenses missing key weapons but i think they definitely have the worse of it.
