Who has openly stated it?Maybe not but due to the past some teams wont work with the Pats, some have openly stated this in the past. I think it continues.

It’s the Goblins’ CodeNo offense, hobgoblin, but your guardrails seem more like guidelines to me.
Meyers was the worst trade of all of them to me. 4th and 6th for a meh dude for 8 games? Huh?Let's look who actually got traded.
Jackobi Meyers for a 4th and 6th. Price is way too high for a guy who would have trouble starting here.
Rashid Shaheed for a 4th, same thing.
Qunnien Williams for a 1st and 2nd - would be a rotational guy
Ahmad Gardner - 2 first round picks. I'm good not doing a Trent Richardson trade.
@Bill Lee nailed it. Seller's market, those prices are actually insane for the return.
I think they look at the team and figure even if they traded for an edge rusher or a safety it wouldn't be enough to put the team over the top. The FO is not over estimating how good the team is.Yup.Stick with the plan.
Like Tarzan Mack Hollins.Let's look who actually got traded.

It's either that or Gardner, two 1st round picks is insanity for a that player. But yeah, I agree.Meyers was the worst trade of all of them to me. 4th and 6th for a meh dude for 8 games? Huh?
But Mack Hollins is already here, making way less money, and is productive for what he does.Like Tarzan Mack Hollins.
All good points but the Jets will find a way to choose poorly on most of the picks, well at least the QB pick.Their fans need to take a deep breath and understand what they are doing. Not only are they getting primo draft capital, they are getting tons of cap space for next offseason, so they can build through the draft and free agency. They can even move around the draft board with all of those picks, lots of flexibility.
If I was a fan, I’d be pretty upset, but you have to think about it more deeply. The rest of 2025 will be a disaster, but they weren’t going anywhere anyway. They can add even more draft capital by trading other pieces before the deadline. Maybe trick someone into a 2nd or several picks for Hall.
Teams can turn around pretty fast. Land that QB, fill holes in free agency and the draft.

Call my a cynic, but are we mostly helping RKK's bottom line by staying way, way, way under the cap?How does that help the Patriots in their playoff run this year?
He wouldn't be meh here: and played in MaDaniels Offense and had success.Meyers was the worst trade of all of them to me. 4th and 6th for a meh dude for 8 games? Huh?
Jets are an interesting situation. They got GREAT value and now an extra 3 ones and a two.Colts ridiculous overpay for Gardner
Jets took them to the cleaners
But…a 4 AND a 6? Hell no.He wouldn't be meh here: and played in MaDaniels Offense and had success.
Oh of course I do. I would never touch your mother. Or maybe she needs to be slapped for raising a dumbass. This is a conundrum to me.
