F that. For those of us who started following the NEP in the late 70s there were extended periods in which we had it rough being fans of this team.

We deserve any/all spoils that come our way. All other fans can deal.
I miss the Pats being hated. Time to rub other teams fans in it and be obnoxious lol

Ye. As a fan, there is no better feeling than your team being hated as it means they've experienced success and "arrived"

Agreed.

Growing up and seeing other teams having success while no one gave the Pats a second thought was aggravating.

Other fans didn’t hate us, we weren’t even on their radars.

Now is much better.

IMO, your issue is with one poster, and he revels in baiting you.
The obsession from both is remarkable. It's like Linda and Bunny wrestling in pigshit. Which would be amusing for a minute, but when it takes up every waking minute of their lives it gets disturbing.

KC now has the most hated title belt... when do we get a shot at it? Lol

Bunny vs Linda on PPV or PLE from the Foxy Lady... look at those ratings go up.

OK Folks I didn't make the rules in fact I don't even like them but Patsfans has spoken and the rules have been firmly set forth in the Brady forum and in the Bill mega thread you are only allowed to choose one (and no Josh doesn't count sub rules firmly set forth coordinators don't count)
It's an interesting dynamic...similar to Bill vs Brady

By "extended periods" we're talking like...a handful of years. I started paying attention as a kid in 1978. Since then here are the worst "extended periods" in team history:

1989-1993: 5-11, 1-15, 6-10, 2-14, 5-11 (these were the true dark days of the organization)
2023-2024: 4-13, 4-13

That's it.

There's been individual bad seasons since 1978 but only these two "extended periods", and only one of those really qualifies.

Extended period is 2 years to me.

See? That's being a spoiled fan. ;-)

But even so, TWO periods of such misery (one lasting 5 years and the other lasting just 2 years) over the course of 47 seasons, with 6 Lombardis, 11 SB titles (both are the most in NFL history), 21 division titles, and 26 playoff appearances sprinkled in there....

Does anyone here think this team and Maye look as great as they do now had the Krafts stayed the course and retained Mayo?

If so, you need your head examined.

Last year Maye was a rookie with no one anywhere near a WR1. He had an awful, historically bad OL, and a terrible coaching staff that was a complete disaster.

This year Maye has a year of experience, with a guy who maybe isn't a true WR1 but is close to it, a decent OL (which is a huge upgrade from last year), a good defense to help out, and awesome, first-class coaching.

Of course it's night-and-day from last year.

No it's being the same fan I was in 1981.

It was all Drake.

Holy crap - my 8 year old keeps saying this randomly, and it's only now that I realized where this came from thanks to you. FFS. Gotta get my head out of my... Air Jordans.

Monday through Saturday, it's Vrabel. On Sundays (typically) it's Drake.

Games are won or lost on game day.

Ergo.....
