Mike vrabel and McDaniels is making wolf look like a genius
As was the case, last year, this will be the first of several Wolf re-signs that SOME will say is overpriced. Of course, it isn't.

This is not a Wolf re-sign.As was the case, last year, this will be the first of several Wolf re-signs that SOME will say is overpriced. Of course, it isn't.
This is not a Wolf re-sign.
Of course not. This is not a Wolf re-sign.
Because he still has the rest of the year on his contract, and he does all the media.Of course not.
Do you ever wonder why Wolf is still employed by the team?
He might get hurt - which based on his history is entirely possible. He wanted to stay.True, but if he thought he had a good chance of getting significantly more as a FA, why would he take this deal instead?
I like your template.
The only caveat I see is Boutte is a very young free agent, he's only 23. If you could get him at what the NBA would consider a 'mid-level exemption' level, $12-14 millionish? That would be just as worth it to me.
Marcus Jones’ 3-year extension with the Patriots is for $36M, with upside to $40.5M. Makes him a top-3 highest-paid slot cornerback in the NFL.
Let's say we don't agree , he still needs to play the 4th year contract on rookie deal and there is a risk of injury too and that derailing the big contract .That would be of course yes, but it seems 1000 yard young receives are getting more.
LET'S ****ING GO!
Cowden, that'a a big one.
He is not.I'm pretty sure Wolf is the person negotiating contracts for the Patriots. I think Vrabel and Cowden weigh in on the parameters, but Wolf negotiates the deals and signs them.
Jameson Williams is a True X-WR Former First Rounder he's worth it. Teams usually give their young WR's a Second Contract. We made that mistake with Jacobi Meyers....Juju was really good for us.Yeah you're right. Look at what Jameson Williams got in Detroit.
I'd pass on that.
I think when you have an elite QB, he can make above average receivers into solid #2/3/4's.
I want to keep the concept of one elite WR, one vet who is a #4, and two young players on rookie contracts as #2/3.
Look at the Chiefs. An elite QB can get away a lot. Build the line and the defense.
Detroit needs better receivers because it's Goff.
Most players want the money today because of the injury risk. In fact, there is so much money at stake, players don't even care about the teams situation and would rather get paid early then have the opportunity to leave for potentially more money/play for a contender. NFL players have turned into Joe Thomas's who are totally fine playing for a terrible team/organization as long as they get paid well.True, but if he thought he had a good chance of getting significantly more as a FA, why would he take this deal instead?
He is not.
6-2How?
Your headcanon is not reality. AI's headcanon is even less reality.Where have you seen that Cowden is doing contracts? I googled it and got this:
As of late October 2025,
Eliot Wolf is the Executive Vice President of Player Personnel for the New England Patriots and is in charge of contracts and the overall management of the 53-man roster. However, the contract process is collaborative and also heavily involves new head coach Mike Vrabel.
If you have seen something else post it.
There are over two dozen Jones in the NFL. We can pick up a few more before the trade deadline.Out of all the Jones we had in 2022, he's the surviving Jones.
Loved his show. What’s really sad is when Foxx had his fatal heart attack on set, he was so good at acting out the fake ones that his coworkers on the set didn’t realize it was the real thing immediately. Hope it didn’t make a difference.
Myles Garrett says don’t forget me! Lots of money, lots of performance on the field, lots of losses on the scoreboard. Most players want the money today because of the injury risk. In fact, there is so much money at stake, players don't even care about the teams situation and would rather get paid early then have the opportunity to leave for potentially more money/play for a contender. NFL players have turned into Joe Thomas's who are totally fine playing for a terrible team/organization as long as they get paid well.
Brandon Aiyuk is the best example. He kicked and screamed for a new deal and is really lucky he got one. The 49ers showed us how not to handle that situation. What they did was Elliot Wolf esque GM'ing.
