My gambler's logic suggests we're due for a stinker. . I see these bad teams and think they're going to break out -- I had the Browns scoring 19 last week ... after watching them, wtf was I thinking? I'm scared we're going to have one of those multi-turnover games. Please talk me off the ledge.
I think we've had some periods in games where we've had stinkers... the difference is with this team is COACHING. In the recent past few years we couldn't seem to adjust in anyway to keep from sucking during games.. we need to stack these home wins up. Perfect example was Cleveland.. we were in a 9-7 ball game went into the half and ADJUSTED.. came out and blew out Cleveland. That's why I say this coaching staff led by Vrabel of course isn't allowing for complacency.

Bates their Safety left with an injury, will see if he practices this week.
Getting to those outside runs will be huge to continue the emergence of the running game..

I'm going to be rooting for the chiefs Sunday against Bills.
FWIW to this discussion if the season ended today the Chiefs would be coming to Gillette for a first round matchup. Sounds fun!

Definitely fun! I don't know how I'd feel about that matchup... Mahomes, reid?.. championship pedigree...

Hard to talk about this game with so many balls in the air health wise for the Falcons. But in the end it comes down to a few key points no matter what.

Stop Robinson and you contain their offense... I don't see them hitting 20 if Robinson has a bad game. Next important to a much lesser extent but still nice is contain Drake London. You can live with letting Pitts get his as he isn't really explosive. But Don't let London run wild or make a big play. But again.. Robinson is the key. He has their most yards rushing... 2nd most yards receiving and their longest play single play in both. So it is just as important for our coverage to shut down Robinson has our run stuffers.

On offense the key is pick up passing yards... The Falcons are allowing 150 YPG in the air this year. That is pretty insanely low. Their YPA is 6.2 for second lowest and DPR is 9th. So it isn't just that teams aren't passing... They also aren't passing all that well on them. You need to go back to the Prime Revis Jets till you are seeing teams come close to 150YPG.. Do i think they will hold that number as the season goes on? No. But they certainly are pretty tough to pass on. If their safety is out that will help.

Part of it is teams choose to run on them cause their run D is bad. Not awful, but bad.

So yeah. Not getting into Xs and Os until we have a better idea who is healthy. But those things stand out. Be the team to break the mold and get 220+ in the passing game, while running well and taking away Robinson. Do that and it is hard to see a way where you lose without -3 turnovers or 20 penalties.

AJ Terrell is a real #1 corner now, and their young front 4 have been doing an excellent job most of the season.

Thankfully the Patriots have more than one guy to throw to.

We delayed the start of their run by beating them in the AFC Championship now we can give them a potential final blow to their run. (Not that I don't think they won't have more chances in coming years just a fun picture to paint in the moment)

Bookends

I am hoping for a Bye in Week 14 and Week 19. I never shot low - just my personality.

Not above picking off the occasional low hanging fruit though

Don't be smug, because that the EXACT stare you had as the clock was winding down in 2007, 2011, and 2017 Superbowl's. I know it was on my face. So have a little compassion.

....and points deducted for the bad pun.

Venture to say you weren't guilty of premature exclamation though Ken
I'd like to think there's too much style in you to be pulling a Dancin' Artie, except maybe for the Butler int of course

I definitely remember.. your right on that assessment. We just did it in a fashion that will likely never happen across the NFL again.. 20 years of lasting success.. I just don't see it happening at the level we did it from anyone..
