NFL Trade Deadline Discourse

Wilson's hitting the (ridiculously Inexperienced) Rookie Wall soon and needs to be replaced before he gets his QB killed; so why not have somebody with, you know, like, actual NFL experience waiting in the wings when it happens?

And exactly what THE **** is so wrong about wanting to improve the weakest link on your OL if you have the opportunity to do so at a reasonable price?
Wilson is hitting the rookie wall in week 8?
Rookie wall is all about the NFL season being longer than college players are use to, and reserved for later in the season.
I disagree, it's not a rookie wall thing.

Drake Maye is performing at an MVP level with his current crop of receivers and tight ends. Focus on defensive additions if there are any to be had.

A lot of impatience. We drafted Williams to see if he can develop into a really good receiver. People are giving up after 7 weeks. Boutte is improving by the week and already a damn solid receiver.

We don’t need to go crazy for Thomas right now, good as he is.

White a healthy scratch today. They've given up on him and/or he's wrapped up ready for a trade.
Not surprising.
Don't know if I can ever remember a negative turnaround this quickly.
I was expecting big big things from him this year, like a really good disruptive force.
And.....he's basically useless.
A very fast fall.

Thanks for that intel. I was just curious because DL is the deepest part of the defense.. Milton, Barmore, farmer, Tonga, Durden.
And a few other that play in the in tje rotation.
Look to the Eagles for inspiration, you want as many good DL as you can get and as much interior push as possible. Durden has made some good plays but when you’re the last guy in you should find some easy opportunities. They can probably improve upon him.

Agreed there.. durden is a rotation guy and doesn't screw it up he does that he's asked from the coaching staff.. but as you mentioned if we can go deeper than all for it..

Assuming health he is.

The way he is playing right now, he isn't. He had 11 drops/went out of bounds before getting two feet down against the Bengals. I mean he was so awful that fans were calling for him to be suspended because they thought he was purposely tanking it. He literally let a Lawrence fumble bounce right in front of him without even making a fake effort to try to get. He literally only had to fall on the ball and did nothing.

The very first play in the bottom tweet is a hospital ball… he was smart to let up.

The second was an under thrown ball on the run by Lawrence, it looked like he was throwing directly to the defender and Thomas had to play defense.

I stopped watching after those two. If fans are blaming horrible football on the last guy to touch the ball on any given play they don’t understand how football works.

We were told Bradbury was a bad center and Hunter Henry was a key piece in the 32nd worst collection of offensive weapons… on a much better team they look very good. Team sport…

Could Garrett ask for a trade to the Pats? I mean man, him with this defense...good lord. Or get Simmons from the Titans. I want a big boy on the line that can sub in and keep everyone fresh a la the Eagles.

40 million dollars is a lot of dollars.
One of the few I'd actually consider though.

Garrett not an option. He took the money. The Browns would incur a $68M dead cap hit in 2026 by trading Garrett.

Worth every penny and you win the SB if you make that trade and stay hearty. I believe that.

Cleveland would be insane to trade him, but with Maye on a rook deal, that's trade I would very strongly consider.

Stop raining on my parade you ****. Bringing facts to this discussion...how dare you! Let me have my fantasy.
