Sorry to hear. Never liked him since he was a Jet, but he was exactly what you wanted in an offensive lineman. Tough, mean, and aggressive. Great player and was reportedly a great guy. RIP.

Really tragic situation. Apparently he just reached out this last week to the media due to needing a kidney transplant. I guess he’s had kidney disease for nearly 20 years now.

Really sad to hear he couldn’t find one in time. Gathered that he was an all around good dude. RIP.

RIP. What a shame.

Wow that is young, my Pats fandom cannot really like him but he seemed like a leader and he always played well for the Jets.

RIP wow too young

He was diagnosed in 2006, but apparently it was a genetic condition.

He would have made a great Patriot... Tough as nails player... Last week he put it out there that he needed a Kidney donor... While that is never a good thing, the news of his passing was sudden/unexpected... Sad news to hear... RIP

So sad

Knew he needed a kidney, didn't expect this.

Too early for anyone to go, even a JET. RIP

RIP Nick. Great tough as nails player.
Way too young.
Admired you as a foundational rock

One of the best the JETE have ever had. Too soon, much too soon.

Sad to hear, so young RIP

So sad for such a young age at 41.. my prayers going out to his family. Albert Haynesworth was dealing with the exact same thing.

So sad...

Way too young. WTF.

R.I.P. So young and horrible that he could not get a doner in time .
