2026 Draft: Interior OL

I've posted about Pieper, and have had him in mocks.

I feel about Pieper roughly the way you do about Brian Parker. Binky worthy.

What about:

1. LT Campbell - LG Wilson - C Pieper/Parker/Lew - RG Siereveld/Green - RT *

2. LT Campbell - LG Siereveld/Green - C Wilson - RG Pieper/Parker - RT *

where * denotes any of the following:

- Kadyn Proctor
- Isaiah World
- Fa'alili Fa'amoe
- Monroe Freeling

Good breakdown.

I would add Vega Ioane, Emmanuel Pregnon (no idea why PFF has him graded so low) and BC's Logan Taylor at guard and Logan Jones at C. I also don't know why Beau Stephens, Iowa's LG isn't getting more love, he's the 2nd highest graded guard.

As for Fa'amoe, I've not watched him so can't comment too much except to say that his grades are pretty awful (66 pass block, 58 run block).

Another I need to investigate further:

Evan Tengesdahl, Cincinnatti - Highest graded guard and highest graded run blocker.

One final thought. What about Wilson at RG? Yes I know it would be another unfamiliar position for him but it would mean, at the very least, he could become an interior OL super sub with experience at all 3 positions. Just a thought.

Absolutely love Stephens. Watch #70 on the first play of that Pieper clip.

There are lots of other reasonable combinations, including a dozen RT alternatives. I was focusing on combos I thought would give us the best young OL in the league.

I don't put as much stock in PFF grades as you.

Wilson to RG definitely a possibility to consider, though I like his athleticism at LG.

I want more of a Grey Zabel athletic LG than a Tyler Booker road grader; I don't have Vega Ioane on my board for that reason. I love Siereveld or Green at G, or Chase Bisontis. Want that athleticism. I haven't studied Pregnon, but after the beating Indiana out on the Oregon IOL I didn't focus on them as much. I watched that game, and they got whipped badly.

Well this won't convince you then but Pregnon only gave up one pressure in that game, had an 83 run block grade and a 74 pass block grade. Pregnon wasn't the issue in that game.

You're right, it won't.

FWIW, Luke Easterling has Western Kentucky OG Laurence "Big Baby" Seymore going at 51coverall in his most recent mock. Transfer from Miami. 6'2" 320#.

I don't know much about him.

Found this on Beau Stephens.
"Stephens' obsessive nature about random things has been harnessed to the point where he's become enamored with the details it takes to be an elite offensive linemen. At 6-foot-5 and 315 pounds, he’s not only the smartest lineman on the team, he's also the most physical blocker — and that includes Jones and right tackle Gennings Dunker, both preseason all-Americans."

“There’s talent on the field. But this kid’s a million dollars off the field,” Barnett said. “He’s a special human. The way he treats people. The way he cares. He deserves some of the good stuff that’s coming to him, that’s for damn sure. I’m really proud of him.”

Not sure why he isnt getting talked about but i guess that will happen eventually.

RS Senior. Age might be an issue. Recruiting page in 2021 had him as 22 yrs old.

OK. I'll just leave this tweet from post the Indiana game.

That carries much more weight fir me than any PFFcgrade. Will look more closely.

Riddle me this: if PFF gives Pregnon an 80+ grade yet ranks him #244 overall, aren't they basically admitting their own grades are meaningless?

Different people do the grading and the board. My guess is that Trevor Sikkema who does the board hasn't got round to properly studying Pregnon yet.

FWIW, I've just watched Pregnon v Indiana. Apart from one pressure, Pregnon was not the problem on the OL in that game. Excellent in pass pro and drove Indiana DLs off the line a number of times.

Brian Parker scouting report

SCOUTING REPORT: SUMMARY

Parker II's college tape at tackle tells only part of his NFL story - this is a guard through and through at the next level, and potentially a good one. His combination of technical precision, football intelligence, and competitive toughness translates beautifully to the interior, where his shorter arms become less of a liability and his anchor strength becomes even more valuable. The way he handled SEC speed rushers without giving up a sack across 515 snaps speaks to processing speed and footwork that'll serve him well against NFL defensive tackles. He reminds me of a young Zack Martin in how he combines technical excellence with genuine nastiness in the trenches.

Zone-blocking schemes would maximize his mobility and second-level prowess, though his anchor strength and hand technique make him equally viable in gap/power concepts. Teams running wide zone variations will love how he climbs to linebackers while maintaining his base, and his experience at tackle gives him unique perspective on combination blocks. The intelligence he displays recognizing pressure packages and making protection calls suggests potential versatility to play center if needed, adding valuable depth to an NFL roster. His track record of iron-man durability - starting 20 of his last 27 games - provides the consistency teams crave from interior linemen.

The transition inside feels natural for a player with his skill set and limitations. While some developmental tackles need years to adjust to tighter spaces, Parker II already shows the quick feet and hand fighting necessary to handle three-techniques and shaded noses. His forty time shows better athleticism than his somewhat stiff movement skills suggest, indicating untapped potential with NFL coaching. NFL scouts will recognize a late Day Two pick who could start immediately at guard while providing emergency tackle depth - that's tremendous value in today's NFL where quality offensive line play comes at a premium.

Threw the guy out of the club.

Connor Rogers says Iowa C says Logan Jones should go in the 80-100 range.
