I don't understand the boners for a 'Big WR1'.

They're throwing the ball just fine. Seems like a radio talk show hot take to me.

You are telling me you would say no to a AJ Brown or equivalent? Someone who allows Diggs to operate underneath and Boutte some free room

Coldest of cold takes is that we still need help on the OL rotation. Backups, besides Brown, are not trusted. The big guys aren't getting the breathers they need.
It's not that cold of a take. The need for line depth is absolutely warranted. It's just not something that's going to get fixed this year.

Just have targets who have value. I’d love to have a JJ or Lamb here but it’s been shown time and again you can get by without a top 3 WR. Boutte could be a legitimate #2, Diggs while not elite any longer is certainly a plus receiver and Triple H. hooper/henry/hollins big bodies who are certainly of value.

Drake 2nd in passer rating after today with half a line and the 26th ranked running game coming in to today.

I’ll worry about the OL and the pass defense tomorrow. But today…

It might not be an accident that we are seeing so many outstanding completions from an ordinary receiving group.

Well this goes down as my biggest surprise for the day: ….. I learned something from Nate Burleson

Every day and twice on Sunday. …
Cap disaster diva who will divide the locker room and quit on you when you don’t stroke him right.
= Subtraction by addition.

We are so, so lucky that Vrabel was available. What was Ms. Amy thinking? And sadly, we are so lucky that Mayo was so bad that he didn’t even warrant a 2nd season, because there’s no way Vrabel wasn’t getting another HC job this past offseason.

And Drake emerging as the leader and as a star…. I’m feeling very fortunate and blessed to be a Pats fan.

His D allowed 24 points. Thats a winnable game.
The running game didn’t hurt him, his coach asked him to win the game and called 12 runs. He failed, putting up -3 3rd quarter yards and giving away 7 points.
Whether he was good or bad isn’t impacted by how many games he has played. We aren’t grading on a scale.
If you are concerned about wining games he was bad.
If you are looking to make excuses for him you can point to his dunk and dunks that weren’t close to enough and his wonderful garbage time stats that resulted in a turnover on downs and an int.
They probably figured that they couldn't run vs NE so try to win it by the pass, Pat's rush defense is 3rd best (3.3 ypc) and only allows 83 ypg prior to today and it is even lower now. They only allowed 3 rushing TDs.

Just finished watching the game. I know it was a, "take care of business" game, but it was methodical and there weren't any glaring weak points. That's what good teams do. So fun to be a Pats fan right now!

Pretty sure that Bryant was out there in the 4th quarter when Dobbs was on the field. Did he do anything badly while he was out there?

There was pressure from our right side on that 3rd down conversion that Dbbs had to spin out before the throw. I didn't notice if it was Bryant that got beat or not.

But there were definitely some plus catches by our receivers today. We may not have a star WR1, but Diggs, Boutte, Douglas and Hollins and our two TEs all seem to have great hands.
AJ Brown - 29 rec, 395 yds, 3 TD
Kayshon Boutte - 20 rec, 356 yds, 4 TD
Stephon Diggs - 39 rec, 456 yds, 0 TD

I dunno, looks pretty good to me.

Burleson is saying it is partly due to Maye’s catchable ball.

Sorry, that's wasn't 4th quarter, you're talking about garbage time.

That would only be the case if you ran 3WR out all the time.

This team is gelling on offense. This has been the best WR room since they had Moss, Welker, Gaffney, and Stallworth.

The O-line did a much better job in the run game. The Pass blocking was solid and1 of the sacks wasn't really a sack since Maye was out of the pocket and made it back to the LOS.

Tennessee's D-Line was improved until Simmons went out, but I could see them upsetting some teams going forward if they can get everyone healthy..
