Nice road win.

The game day thread is pretty unreadable. 31-13 win, Maye 21/23, 175 yes rushing. 4 sacks, one for a fumble TD, and an INT. 0 turnovers. But from the GD thread, it was a disaster.

60 minutes.

TBF I think the early pessimism was reasonable, albeit overblown.

At 3-0, you would have thought we were down 31-0.

People forgot what a professionally-run team looks like, I guess.
Even during the dynasty days it wasn't any different. Brady and the offense would fail to make 3rd and 5 early in the first quarter and people would be saying the seasons over. Seriously i actually remember that from the late oots. '08 '09

The thing is, it's a 60 minute game. Not every minute of every game will be dominance.

It's hard to win in the NFL. But the team has won 4 in a row, the much-despised defense is average 19 ppg and has only given up more than 21 once.

We should be in every game. We will lose some. But we should enjoy the ride, just a bit.

The season does give off some 2001 vibes, though it's far too early to pass judgment.

Maye said 'I tucked it a couple of times when I shouldn't have, got to get better on the backside progression, it's ok to be a Checkdown Charlie'.

I guess his concussion's better.
Josh got to beat this into him. Especially when we are up. Take the check downs. He acts as if he has a disdain for check downs. Brady longevity was partly due to his ability to take what the defense gave to him easily. Maye is trying for the kill shot all play. Can get him hurt. That blind side shot he took was not a good hit to take with that lead.

Where is that clown Merrill Hodges? I'd love to hear what he has to say about Maye now. He was the biggest "Maye will be a bust" chanter around.

Maye's passing stats look great but a few more incompletions by throw away would have been wiser.

Things I want to point out.

Elliss with back to back solid games. Not good, but solid.
Stevenson with a clean game running without ball protection slowing him down was big.
Special teams was not good today, not overly bad... but they just seemed to lose the field positioning battle consistently until the Titans made unforced errors.
Low penalties and a clean game. Fantastic to see. This is the cleanest game of the year IMO.

On one hand, I totally agree.
On the other hand, you want to establish yourself as a deep thrower early in your career, or they end up just sitting on everything like they did to Mac Jones.

I thought Morgan Moses was terrific today. Is there a single FA signing that can be considered a bust? Carlton Davis seems to have a problem rep early in every game but then knuckles down. Even Chaisson, who I've been a little concerned about, had a really strong game today.

That's..a take. Kick return was bad, but that was them targeting Chism, already. The one short punt was into the wind, everything else seemed fine.
