There was one Miami player I wanted to check out this morning - the FS Zechariah Poyser - who made three awesome open field tackles last night. Turns out he also missed 4 tackles and was the worst graded player on the Miami defense. Oh well.

In CFB once you're down it's play over regardless of whether you're touched or not. I saw a play once where a punter had to kneel with one knee to collect a low snap and it ended up being a turnover on downs because he was ruled down.

That was last week. Ohio St. vs. Iowa. The punter's knee touched in that case. Wasn't aware that just going to ground counted as being down. Thx for the clarification.
