JETS SUCK 2025 EDITION (OFFICIAL): DIVINE INTERVENTION DENIED

Yeah, me too. And we are being SUCH New England sports fans in that regard. For almost any other fan base, that's long been in the rear view mirror, and obscured by 3 titles plus 1.5 decades of Jet futility.
Do you ever in dark moments wish you could trade the Atlanta win for the 2007 perfect season if you could control time? Just so you could spit on those Miami frauds and THEIR perfect season when they hardly played any .500 teams and had a short schedule. Pretty sick given the amazing success we enjoyed for TWO decades.

No, I wish Rex hadn't called time out in the Baltimore game and we didn't have to get wrapped up in the perfect season crap. That Super Bowl game was one of the worst games the Pats ever played and coached.

No. That Falcons Super Bowl is the signature Super Bowl win for Brady. There's others I might trade, but not that one.

The Jests - “Hold my butt fumble.”
Good point, after thinking about it i look at the butt fumble as emblematic of the jest franchise history. When i and most other fans think of the jest we/ i think butt fumble, its greater that being 0-five. But the season is still young

Not just the butt fumble itself, but the sequence of plays it was a part of:

The play was the centerpiece of a disastrous sequence in the second quarter, wherein the Jets lost three fumbles and the Patriots scored three touchdowns in the span of 52 seconds of game time. In that second quarter, the Jets held the ball for over 12 minutes (out of a possible 15), but managed to be outscored 35–3.

All this on national TV on Thanksgiving Day on their field!

This is 'Swirly' level of embarassment!

Picture or drawing of the butt fumble should be on the jest logo instead of jetes

The Butt Fumble was just such a perfect Jete level display of incompetence.

Everything went so perfectly wrong that you have to think that God has a sense of humor,

Or revulsion.

If could have been merely a fumble, but that alone is not Jete enough.

Sanchez ran head first in a Jete OL’s butt, but that is not Jete enough.

The ball came loose and bounced right into the hands of Steve Gregory who was able to continue his momentum towards the end zone, but that wasn’t Jete enough.

Sanchez made a swipe at recovering the fumble and ended up swiping at air before collapsing to the ground in exasperation.

Camera pans to Rex Ryan on the sidelines mouthing “unbleeping believable.”

On Thanksgiving evening, with the whole nation watching.

Now THAT is Jete!

And it has cemented their legacy of total incompetence and suckage

It was a signature win for the Patriots not just Brady. They wouldn't have won it without him, but they wouldn't have won it without Hightower, Long, White, Edelman and everyone else.

Yes, I didn’t mean to minimize anyone else’s accomplishments. I just meant that if you want a signature one for Brady, it’s that one.

That was actually after Edelman's TD, completing the "Same Old Jets trifecta".

I was still laughing over the butt fumble when Edelman plucked that kickoff fumble out of the air and scored. It was like at a comedy show when the comic gets you going then delivers another zinger and you can't catch your breath. Hilarious stuff.

I remember someone here set that whole sequence to Yakety Sax (the Benny Hill theme).

World Champs is kinda silly IMO. No one else plays American Football, except Canada. Even that's not the same.
World Champs is even worse in MLB. Not only are there other baseball leagues in the world, but the US has played them and lost twice.

As for the Jets, I remember the way the NFL snubbed the AFL back in the beginning and I was a big AFL supporter. After they won the SB, and KC followed up with a win the next year, that shut the NFLers up for good and I was very happy.

Now the Jets just plain suck

Super Bowl became THE Super Bowl in 1971, when it began rendering an officially recognized NFL champion. Before that it was a postseason exhibition between leagues. That the AFL didn't have many teams capable of competing against their NFL counterparts is indisputable.

Even to this day, the old-guard NFL remains superior. It's interesting to note that of the 59 Super Bowls played to date, an original AFL team has won just 19 of them.
There are 8 original AFL teams. That group accounts for 1/4 of the league but has won 1/3 of the SBs. That's not as bad as you want it to appear. The AFC is right behind the NFC in SB wins in spite of a 13 straight run by the NFC in the 80s and 90s.

The AFC has won far more head to head games vs the NFC teams overall. If they're stronger right now it's only at the top and has only been that way recently. Overall the NFC has gotten their asses kicked by the AFC

And the game that the NFL plays now resembles the old AFL game more than anything else.
