Objectively, they just had to suspend a coach that the Bill and Fat Mike team hired, to investigate him for NCAA rules violations.

This happens to a handful of guys across the thousands of coaches in the 600+ NCAA college football programs.

Bill and Fat Mike managed it first time around.

Many of us in the Tar Heel community expect a lawsuit in the coming weeks seeking to fire him for cause, voiding the buyout. There have been documented NCAA and university infractions with recruiting, ticket sales, offers of NIL money, and who knows what else that have not only embarrassed the institution but caused the UNC Board to be stripped of powers that led to his hiring. A couple of press releases and media interviews are not going to make this go away.
