The Bill megathread (HC at UNC, girlfriend, etc.)

Grifter number 2 comes across as a luddite. No wonder his players at UNC suck, he thinks the wishbone is still in fashion.

Notice Ernie Accorsi name drop too. Bill's running a clown show.

More like thinks the single wing is still in fashion.

Objectively, they just had to suspend a coach that the Bill and Fat Mike team hired, to investigate him for NCAA rules violations.

This happens to a handful of guys across the thousands of coaches in the 600+ NCAA college football programs.

Bill and Fat Mike managed it first time around.

So they have that going for them...

Or maybe the school will decide that paying him $20M next season to GTFO is more palatable than what they'd owe him now if they fired him.
The problem here is that it's not the school's money, it's the taxpayers of North Carolina's money. Belichick is the highest paid employee in the state and making a mockery of the state's flagship university. Many of us in the Tar Heel community expect a lawsuit in the coming weeks seeking to fire him for cause, voiding the buyout. There have been documented NCAA and university infractions with recruiting, ticket sales, offers of NIL money, and who knows what else that have not only embarrassed the institution but caused the UNC Board to be stripped of powers that led to his hiring. A couple of press releases and media interviews are not going to make this go away.

Who would bring that lawsuit? And would it be directed at BB & his people or the university?

Lombardi is such a pretentious tool. He thinks he's coming off as some sort or renascence man but in reality it sounds like "Me use typewriter because me no think good on computer"

Lombardi thinks of himself as a modern genius. Hey smart guy, track changes have been around for more than 40 years. You know almost ALL of your adult life.

The Patriots are winning, Kraft is winning because the perception of Bill in his documentary is largely proving to be correct, and even Mac Jones is winning these days. And of course Brady won. Bill is the only loser out of it all. Lol

H8Rs all around the world, including the UK...

The concerns at this juncture, still short of midway through Belichick’s freshman season, are overwhelming. The misleading record, the stark images of home fans deserting a blowout loss to Clemson before half-time, the dramatic talent deficit – those were predictable outcomes for a septuagenarian taskmaster trying his hand at coaching college kids. Belichick isn’t simply out of his element. He looks for all the world to be asleep at the wheel, too.
...
But Cunningham and the school’s board of trustees should have known better than to sign Belichick to a five-year, $50m contract without really considering who exactly they were hiring. That’s not a shot at Jordon Hudson, the omnipresent girlfriend and handler who wriggled her way to the center of all the coach’s affairs. That’s an indictment of Belichick – the gridiron monk who preached against the pitfalls of off-field distractions, only to wind up turning into the biggest one.
...

Belichick hasn’t been the same mastermind without Tom Brady, posting a 29-38 coaching record with no playoff appearances in his last four seasons in New England. During that time, his apparent knack for spotting and developing talent rapidly eroded. The most promising quarterback prospect of Belichick’s last hurrah, Mac Jones, is thriving under new management in San Francisco. When Brady bolted to Tampa expressly to win a seventh Super Bowl ring and put some distance between him and his longtime coach, it seemed like a picayune point. But since Brady took the Patriot Ways and won a championship in his first year with the Buccaneers, you can’t help wondering who the mastermind really was as Belichick fumbles through his last coaching days.
...
Belichick’s coaching staff was supposed to impose their winning NFL ways on a wild and wooly college game, but they’ve proven no better than a depressing mix of loyalist and family members that report to longtime lackey Mike Lombardi – the UNC general manager best known for abetting Belichick’s infamous NFL flameout with the Cleveland Browns. Troublingly, no one on staff seems to appreciate that the difference between wins and losses at the college level are in recruiting.

Must be great being a billionaire's son who can take an unpaid internship for Bleacher Report. All while this son can troll his dad's former employee who lied and stole from you for 5 years. The son might as well troll said former employee's grifting granddaughter who is always hanging around her grandfather at his new job.
