Yeah, Cam Jordan ran into the Great Wall of Campbell on that one.

What a non-factor the Saints pass rush was. Disappointing for @State to be sure. So was Keandre Miller's 3ypc, Rashid Shaheed's 1 catch on a bubble screen, and "Talking about DPOY" Jonas Sanker having his lunch handed to him by Pop Douglas the entire game.
Sanker had a rough day for sure. I assume the single high safety thing is not his calling.

Having said that, the Pats could really use a FS that is great in pass coverage.

Your tone might be harsh but your statements are bang on .

Onwenu
Rham
Hooper
Moses
Hollins
Dugger

Might need to be replaced

Williams and Henderson will probably be in because of draft status next year but will need to show more to be retained. I know they are rookies , but other rookies like skattebo and egbuka are performing. They can at least contribute to 25% of those rookies .

Campbell, woodson, Wilson ,borregales , farmer and Ashby are balling which is good.

Not sure how much cash we will have after extending Jones, gonzo , Boutte .

Pop is not getting a contract here and Stevenson will probably be on practice squad of some other team next year.
They all need to be replaced and upgraded going forward.
That doesn't help for this year, but it's a good blueprint going forward.

How are Tua and Rattler the same type of QB? I see Tua throwing bombs to Tyreek and Waddle and Rattler throwing nearly all passes 20 yards and under.
They play the same type of QB style.. get the ball out quickly.. rattler took some deep shots yesterday. Or it could be kellen Moore rubs a similar offense? IDK just my opinion one...

I don't think they can make that Titans line high enough.
It's kind of a perfect storm.

Not only is it the Vrabel Returns game, but there are still a bunch of players on this team from last year, who are PISSED that Mayo cost them a win there last year.

I wonder if Cam Ward business-decisions his way out of the game early.

Personally I think he had a strong game in pass protection, and as per Ken's idle thoughts Josh didn't do much this week to with misdirections or screens to get him some openings. It got to the point late in the game the defense knew if they shot a gap they would find him, and they did it several times. Josh didn't seem to make them pay for being overly aggressive.

I was told in the GDT that it was just Josh trying to run off clock and of course at the end of the game it turned out that it was all about the clock, so perhaps we need to factor that into things when we look at Rham's day.

Yet, I don't see the harm in trying to get some movement so Rham could gain more yards on the ground. It seemed we left so many things up to Drake on 3rd down. Fortunately he made it work, but still, it was frustrating at times to watch.
I agree. I also wonder if the coaching approach was to play vanilla on offense and defense. We played a lot of zone defense, not much man.

Were the Pats playing a weaker opponent straight up and saving plays (misdirection, screens, roll outs) for more challening matchups? Josh has used a bunch of trick plays in the past - yesterday was noticably plain vanilla.

We are 4-2 looking like one of best teams in the NFL with a rebuilding roster. The key is we have a coach and QB. That's impressive.

Coaching.
QB, LT, CB all under rookie contracts.
DT at an all-pro level locked in for 3 more years.

And all those players mentioned by @Toofy were spot-on (half of which were Wolf Specials, btw), but the fact of the matter is, even though they need to be upgraded, and they do, it's still guys who can at least play in the NFL, even at a below-average level.

We had 20 guys on this team last year, who played...a LOT, who couldn't even manage that.

Absolutely, they are missing that killer instinct. It was so weird that Drake was shut down in the 2nd half, the way he started in the 1st half, I thought for sure he would’ve wound up with 4 or 5 td passes, over 300 yards passing and we would’ve scored 30+ points.
Drake Maye was not shut down the 2nd half.

The typical drive was negative yards running on first and second down. Then Drake would convert 3rd and long only for the refs to take it away with a bogus flag (Diggs bomb). Then he'd convert it AGAIN and the refs would take it away AGAIN with a bogus no-call (Hollins bomb).

Then there's the drive he took them to the 1 yard line by himself, but two handoffs and a penalty later they're third and goal a mile away.

The scoring dried up in the 2nd half but it had nothing to do with Maye's play.

IF it was vanilla for the Saints: it will probably be Skim milk for the Titans.

The Zone was because of worrying about Rattler running the ball.

Don't be surprised if they play WAY more man this next week. While Cam Ward *can* run, he doesn't *want* to run. They don't need to account for it nearly as much.

The fact remains in 5 playoff games that D only allowed more than 20 points once. Not putting it all on Tannehill by any means but it is undeniable he came up small in big moments.

And yes, I too would rather talk Pats
Plus my laptop is currently getting repaired and looking up stats on my phone is a *****

Im actually kinda pissed that those OPI’s probably stopped this from being an all timer from Maye.

It’s malpractice if we don’t start loading up around him. He’s the guy

Thanks for the info. That puts it in perspective.

Great points Tommy. Coaching has every bit as you mentioned. & QB PLAY ALSO. look at when we did have the Coaching when BB was here.. we had ****ty QB play.. mac, zappe,Brissett could never amount to anything close to what Drake is doing.. at the position right now.

Wait...wut...Bombs to S Diggs - Tarzan Mack Hollins and Pop?? Should Maye had 500yds yesterday?? Asking for the Cube.

Cracked me up that they didn’t understand why Vrabel challenged the OOB call on Boutte and the subsequent argument over the 40 seconds versus 25 seconds until *after* the 2 minute warning. But I thought they did decently today, normally I don’t care for that crew but I thought they upped their game today. In contrast to the referees.
Actually one of them mentioned "and the Patriots are going on to the win" just as they were leaving for commercial, but yes, it did not dawn on them throughout the entire drawn-out review process.
