That phantom PI on Diggs was the worst piece of officiating since the 1976 roughing the passer call on Ray Sugar Bear Hamilton on Raiders QB Kenny Stabler. At least it wasn't pivotal like that blown call.

Is it possible the refs feel that if they aren’t making calls they will be seen as not doing their job?

Would love to go back to only calling the obvious stuff?

Even if that call on Diggs was legit it had NO bearing on the outcome of the play.
