Great point.Georgia's not that good anymore. We'll see how he does going forward.

They'll do it if they know what's good for us.So the Patriots don't want Douglas & Dugger. But the Eagles are going to give up a top 5 receiver for them?
Probably not our best trait that we think we get first dibs on every free agent and trade candidate.PatsFans never disappoints......
The 4-2, reigning Super Bowl champions, first place Eagles, apparently are in tank-mode 6 games into the season and want to substitute their alpha WR with a diminutive bench receiver who gets brought down by finger tackles, a bench safety whose biggest impact these days is cashing oversized paychecks, and a future midround draft pick.
Why stop there?
Let's toss in more of New England's flotsam and jetsam before Howie Roseman regains consciousness
This is entirely reasonable. Is AJ like Antonio Brown, or closer to Dillon and Moss?
I'm honestly not entirely sure, either. His cap hit is huge and I don't know if we get the return on value for him, even if he would definitely be an awesome weapon for Maye. Could we get more bang for the buck elsewhere?
I can't definitively answer that, and fortunately, since I'm just an ******* on a computer and not the GM, I don't have to, but it's interesting.
Probably?Your probably right that Philly won't do it but this one seems to at least have a somewhat realistic possibility.
I like it. I believe Vrabel and Kurh know they need to upgrade the position. The overall thinking for this season is likely Drake continuing to develop and trying to compete. Getting to the offseason/draft is pivotal. Next draft I have us adding S,LB,Edge. But if Buddha becomes available then absolutely make a run at him for sure.Woodson is our FS/deep nickel. Budda would replace our SS and also help fill the gap we have in our LB department. He's a stud when it comes to dissecting a run/pass play and has top level instants and game IQ. The man clearly watches a lot of tape. He's an A level stud when its comes to jumping the gun and making the right read. He'd be great on this team. You fill two needs with him. SS and LB of sorts. I hope AZ loses their next 3 games. Considering his contract is close to Duggars, Id give up possibly a 3rd. It's almost a salary swap for a much better player at that point. Total upgrade.
AJ would make us favorites in the AFC
So the Eagles, in the middle of a Super Bowl window (and fresh off a Super Bowl), are going to eat $80 million in dead cap, trade away one of the best receivers in the league in his prime, and take our over-priced safety who hardly plays and our underachieving, positionless, D-lineman who has done nothing in the league?
AJ Brown may be annoyed at his lack of targets/catches but I haven't seen him publicly request a trade. This isn't exactly Terrell Owens doing sit-ups in his driveway.
I agree with you DD. As we are a much better offense than we've been thr past few seasons. Vrabel knows this roster is incomplete. He knows he needs another draft and offseason to really add more hig caliber players. I'm of the mind if you can get a headstart on a caliber of player like AJ brown who's just 28, connection to Vrabel personally then you try all avenues. We have alot of position redundancy at wr.. where guys operate in the middle of the field. We need guys on the outside. Williams is really the only guy on the roster that is such. We Diggs plays all over the formation wich is excellent. Even if it's not AJ.. Olave would probably be a more viable option given his contract. Or a underused DJ Moore wasting away in Chicago.I certainly wouldn't hate AJ coming here, but I also don't pine for it like some other posters.
We are tied for the 7th best passing attack in the league (yds/game), and it certainly appears we are getting better too.
WR is far from our biggest need.
Seems some folks think adding a WR would what, make Maye a 300 yard/game passer every week and we would score 35 points a game?
Diggs has certainly looked like a number one the last 2 weeks.
Williams is getting open, seems like his chances to contribute more are coming.
Boutte is dependable as are our TEs.
We have 2 backs that can catch out of the backfield.
I'm all for improving the roster, especially looking at years beyond the current one.I agree with you DD. As we are a much better offense than we've been thr past few seasons. Yes, Olave concussion history is the only factor really that would be a red flag.. however if NO made him available then I see a 3rd and pop going for him? On the leadership I agree. I believe this teams culture and locker room leadership appears to be as strong as it's been in years. Diggs, Williams, Drake, Henry, Barmore alot of our top players have taken leadership roles organically.I'm all for improving the roster, especially looking at years beyond the current one.
So with the longer term in mind I certainly am not against it.
That said, I am really impressed with Diggs the player, Diggs the person, and Diggs the leader.
I don't want to do anything to disrupt that, he seems to be only getting better.
Maybe Diggs' leadership would be a good thing for AJ.
I really liked Olave coming out of OSU, but that concussion history is a major cause for concern.
@Patsfan1645Schooler saw snaps over Dugger against the Bills.. that's telling...
Yeah I think Dugger around the line of scrimmage is fine but anywhere else he is a liability.@Patsfan1645
It's clear Dugger is pretty much unusable seemingly.. from where this guy was like 2 seasons ago to now is unreal.. Woodson and Hawkins although now all pros.. are probably better in tandem.. Dugger is a liability for the defense...
Yes, but seems the like Woodson in that role betterYeah I think Dugger around the line of scrimmage is fine but anywhere else he is a liability.
I would imagine his self-confidence is pretty low with the things said about him and the team's public attempts to trade him.Yeah I think Dugger around the line of scrimmage is fine but anywhere else he is a liability.
No doubt. I think it would be best for both parties to go their separate ways. Its unfortunate that we signed him to a hefty contract.I would imagine his self-confidence is pretty low with the things said about him and the team's public attempts to trade him.
That $$$ still hits his account.. imagine the guy working at dairy queen who's boss wants to fire him...I would imagine his self-confidence is pretty low with the things said about him and the team's public attempts to trade him.
