For some reason white feels like a trade candidate.. I don't know why.. but it does..
Because currently he provides nothing that couldn't be had by Ponder, Jennings or an elevation of Swinson. The return on a trade would be minimal I would think.

When it came to strictly rushing the passer, Keion White was handled with ease against the Bills left tackle. Their left tackle handled Jennings as well. Ponder seemed to at least make their left tackle try lol. I expect guys like Dugger, Jennings, and White to all be released or traded in the near future.

Diggs is still good. I mentioned weeks ago that he is always open. The guy is damn near elite at finding holes in zone and even though he has slightly lost a step he is great at man coverage because he wins contested catches in similar fashion to guys like Antonio Brown. Our problem is we don't really have a third wr. We threw away a perfect guy in Kendrick Bourne and so far no one has stepped up to adequately fill this imo.

Gibson is a big loss and was what you want as a back up running back. He was very well rounded. Henderson, who I like, is a rookie who still needs to improve pass blocking and may not be able to physically withstand a full season. And Rham is battling Lowe as my least favorite Patriot at the moment lol.

As for the Saints. I've seen them a little bit this season. Scrappy but bad team that looked the part but struggled to stop the run. I never followed Rattler in college but from what I've seen...I like him. He is like a weird mix between Baker Mayfield and JJ McCarthy in the games I've seen. I expect us to win but I can easily see him give us problems with his sneaky rushing ability and his passes have some zip to them.

Thanks for posting that Saints' fans pod cast. Have a much better sense of who they are now, though it's not like we are likely to get "knowledgeable" about them in 3 more days, but it's a start.

The Giants' DL is supposedly a good one and the young Saints OL and especially their 2 OT's did very well and held them without a sack. However it also sounds like they are starting an UDFA and he was having a lot of trouble. The easy take is that we set the defensive game plan at being strong at setting the edge and then attacking the immediate pressure up the middle. Rattler isn't the tallest QB, so high hands should get a deflection or 2, and NO QB, even the best, likes immediate pressure up the middle. The Saints also know this and will likely look to run plays that roll Rattler out to the edges to get away from that pressure. THAT will force Rattler to have move into edges on roll outs so wild slashing edge rushes won't be our first moves this week.

If That strategy comes to pass, then we might see some defenses that will send DB's get into the rush when the QB rolls to his side like in an old fashioned rotation. I see that being run a lot so far this year.

The Saints don't have any "star" WR's, but they have some speed and a very good rookie who had an 85yd TD deep ball who has been a good-looking prospect and will need to be paid attention to.

Kamira isn't the elite threat he once was, but he is still very good, and they have a young kid who runs hard and needs to be respected. I'll be interested to see just how much man we run vs zone. I suspect it to be around 25% man, and 75% zone just like I suspect about a 25% blitz rate and the rest 4 man pass rushers.

Looks like our 2 disappointments in a season where we have a LOT to be happy about are Young and Duggar. Both of whom I cannot grasp why neither have carved out even a rotational role yet where they can effective. You would think that Young could be a "one trick pony at something like Jennings has. But Duggar is worse. He can't even get ST's snaps. It's like he fell off the map. With the S hurt, he has GOT to get some run this week, otherwise we might as well release him. I never got releasing Peppers. 5 games in I get it even less. And on a lesser disappointing note, the fact that Swinson hasn't contributed yet is a bit disappointing. He's about the only rookie that hasn't contributed something so far. But it's very early yet.

Rashid Shaheed? Not a rookie, he's on his fourth year. Looked like he was about to break out last year before he got injured. He's pretty good. They also have Olave, who is a borderline star.

Young? Are you referring to White? Btw, Swinson was part of final cuts and is on the PS.

Releasing Peppers was a headscratcher.
So I'm pretty sure it's something none of us know about and Mikey V and Peppers are keeping it that way. That's how it should be. Most likely Peppers strongly asked to be released for some reason.
Either that, or he did something truly egregious they're keeping quiet so as not to ruin his career.
I'm OK with that. We don't need to know everything.

Patriots DTs should both have excellent games. Milton Williams should repeatedly undress Trevor Meathead Penning at LG. And Christian Barmore will feast on Torricelli Simpkins III or even the starter, Cesar Ruiz, if he plays, at RG. Simpkins is an undrafted rookie from South Carolina who’s a road grader who can’t pass block.

Can we get a nice clean fumble free 4 yards a carry game from the running backs?

Is that too much to ask?

The Jacksonville Jaguars are 4-1. They sucked goat cheese last year. I’m sure the fans of the last two Jag games had mentally penciled in W’s: at San Francisco and hosting the Chiefs. Jaguars just won both. Unbelievable.

New coaching can turn it around. The Saints have new coaching. Maybe they start turning it around. Former Eagle OC Kellen Moore is HC, Doug Nussmeier ( Will Campbell’s girlfriend’s dad!) is OC, and Brandon Staley is DC. Good group.

Saints injury report. Chase Young back in a limited capacity. He’s been out all season with a calf injury. Big matchup with Will Campbell if he is able to suit up.

Notable is starting RB Alvin Kamara hurt his ankle today in practice.

So who is she pulling for Sunday?

Where is said podcast?

It is mid week and i still feel like i know practically nothing about the Saints.

I've seen you mention Young several times.
He's not that good and has never lived up to his draft status.
Never had more than 7.5 sacks in a season.
Had 5.5 sacks in 17 games last year.
Yes injuries have derailed him a bit, but you're overrating him.

After watching the game again, I have watched it 4 times now. Kyle Williams time is coming. He was open a lot against Buffalo and his speed is evident.

On the play to Henry that drake threw it to the right, I think it was 22 yards, the Safety was lined up closer to the box but bailed on the snap. Williams beat his guy off the line and Maye looked that way initially but because the safety bailed and was working toward williams, so Maye came off of williams and hit henry.

Williams was also open on a deep dig that turned into Maye scrambling and hitting Diggs on one of the most beautiful plays have ever seen. I would not be surprised to see Williams get more run in the next few weeks.

State? Overrating someone on the Saints?

Yep. Hey, Saints. We give you Mike Onwenu and Mr Clean for Chris Olave.
Why would you trade a starting RG and a mediocre D tweener for a WR that’s already several hits past CTE and maybe one hit away from having his brain scrambled to permanent vegetable status? Olave is even worse that Tua as far as concussion history goes, and the medical experts tell us they’re cumulative and each subsequent concussion takes longer for recovery. No way he should be on our roster.

Milton Williams has been a Monster and a force to be reckoned with.
