Maybe not Membou (unfortunately) but I hear Vera-Tucker is on the block.
  • I wonder why.
  • September 6, 2025: The New York Jets placed G Alijah Vera-Tucker on the IR.
October 11, 2023: The New York Jets placed OL Alijah Vera-Tucker on IR.
October 24, 2022: The New York Jets placed OL Alijah Vera-Tucker on IR.

That JeteFlu is nasty.

Given, Dugger's number of reps, I would expect Vrabel to try to acquire a safety and also move Dugger.

Let's get rid of Wolf and Groh. Easy, peasy.

In fairness, so far the the offseason free agency has been a home run thus far and the draft is looking pretty good.

I am not sure if the problems prior to this was Wolf and Groh or they were just hamstrung by Belichick's antiquated scouting department and process. I mean this team's problems drafting predated either guy.

Since Belichick left, Wolf has spent a lot of time expanding and redesigning the scouting department. Most of those changes wouldn't have kicked in by the time free agency and the draft rolled around last year and they were relying on the Belichick era scouting.

Why not trade for Keaton Mitchell ?
He has only dressed 1 game for the Ravens, but he is a weapon in the open field & he has good hands
I loved the idea of Keaton Mitchell

Mark Andrews is not significant enough an upgrade, if at all, on our current TE's to warrant giving up any draft capital for
I think Andrews is a huge upgrade to Hooper. I think Henry and Andrews are on par with one another.

He can block too, can’t he?

I think he is a much better blocker than Hoop and Henry. I didn't take that into account when I made that post. Good call

The 2024 draft run by Wolf was all BB's fault? What a load of rubbish. It is amazing that the BB haters will make up anything while saying "In fairness". LOL

It is absolutely at least partly Belichick’s fault. All the in season scouting for the 2024 draft was done under Belichick and directed by Belichick with the scouting tools that Belichick wanted them to use. They didn’t start scouting players after the NCAA season was over.

The scouting for any draft is done in the previous season from the draft. So they were scouting players like Polk while Belichick was the GM. They were using the tools he allowed them to use.

I don’t blame Belichick and Pioli for the the 2000 draft disaster because he was using Bobby Grier’s scouting. That was more Bobby Grier’s draft than Belichick’s. That is what happens when there is regime change. It isn't about hating Belichick.

The fact is that Belichick didn't believe in analytics for player evaluations. Most of the best drafting teams like the Eagles live by it. Since Belichick left, Wolf has created and expanded the analytics department and expanded the player personnel department in general where Belichick had a very small staff. When Vrabel came in, the effort to expand the scouting department was even stronger. This is well documented.

The Raiders will likely be 2-6 before their bye week. They have Tucker, Bech & Thornton as young WRs. Meyers could probably be had for a day 3 pick. He's been a top 30 WR with that Raiders and played 60-70% out wide in 2023-2024. He's also a great blocker and wouldn't have to learn the system. He could replace Hollins' snaps & still allow Williams to be developmental WR4.

Considering he'd cost about $5 million as a rental there's not many easier trades the team could make to improve at the deadline IMO.

I like Myers and realistically he should still be a patriot. But if you look at our current WRs. If we traded for Myers it would kinda of create some position redundancy. As Diggs moves all around so no issues there.. Hollins is the blocking wr, Boutte is the #2 option. Pop gets sprinkled in. Williams is the deep threat option.. just trying to figure where Myers would play?

As great as BB was and the football mind his is. I really hated to see him go to college. Realistically it never should have ended here without BB. However it did and the organization seems to be back on track with a bright future.

I'm interested to see if he comes back to the NFL?
